Leonardo Hotel Freital

"There were no public areas apart from the bar and restaurant, not one single seat. When coach parties arrived even the restaurant was lost to individual guests, the bar became their restaurant. No Internet access at all, even for a fee! We knew that Freital was outside Dresden and with a half hourly train service for €10 a family day ticket this was no problem. What was a shock was the total lack of facilities in Freital, no bars and, apart from ice cream and pizzas, no restaurants. With only 3 main dishes and 3 salads on the hotel restaurant menu the lack of local restaurants for a 5 night stay was irritating. Lastly, everything creaked, the beds, the wardrobe doors, even the restaurant floor!" - John Parry
