L'hotel Island South Hong Kong

Ive stayed in many hotels in various locations in hk and i must say that L hotel island south is superior in terms of room quality and size. Its a really decent hotel. Rooms are really spacious and clean as compared to those near tne city. I also managed to get a really good rate at approximately usd120 which is good. Came with free wifi. Only issue that might set some people back is the location. First time travellers to hk would prefer the convenience of living near the touristy areas like tst or kowloon and within walking distance of the mtr and lots of shopping nearby. However many do not realise how much more expensive these rooms can be. Further, many of these hotels are only 2-3 stars with really old and small rooms. The l hotel has a hour shuttle to central which is really convenient. If not, taxi is approximarely 80. Horel is suitable for seasoned travellers who do not mind taking hotel shuttle and or taxi/public transport to get into city. There isnt much to do near the hotel.

We loved its location from Ocean Park, which is just less than 10mins away if you use their free shuttle service. You can go back and forth Ocean Park in 30 min intervals allowing you time to relax in your room on a hot HK weather. Since Ocean Park opens i think around 9:30am, our kids had time to enjoy the hotel's swimming pool. Going to Central and to Victoria peak is hassle-free because they have shuttle service as well. All the staff are accomodating and you really feel like a king or queen. I dont know if this is standard for all their rooms but ours is equipped with iphone docks wherein you can play your ipod music collection. Everythings not in a rush, we were able to enjoy L'Hotel, Ocean Park, and Victoria Peak in just one day. Thanks L'hotel for accomodating us. See you on our next HK trip!

Highly recommended to stay. We really had a good time staying in the hotel.

This hotel is very new. The room is big. Staff are friendly. Only problem is not near shopping area. However, you can chose to take hotel shutter bus with fix timing or take public transport bus estimate about 4 bus stops away to Sogo shopping centre or metro.

This hotel is a bit out of the way, the staff were excellent and obliging.The room was a good size but lacked information on how to operate things in the room and hotel facilities. The shuttle bus was very efficient and we were able to get to central and shopping at causeway bay very easily. A good tip is to get Airport Express Train from Airport to Hong Kong station and then free hotel shuttle bus. We enjoyed our stay and would probably book this hotel again.

I enjoy the stay at L'hotel for the staff are very nice and the room are clean and spacious. The restaurant needs improvement for the waitress did not know the menu well and cannot help me with my order. The location is away from the central but very convenient, one can catch a bus or a mini bus to Causeway bay which is the most exciting place in town. From there one can take subway to all the places in hk.

Great Experience in L'hotel Island South, they provide shuttle bus to the Ocean Park(3mins) & MTR Station(20mins), Buffet always fully booked. It's a brand new hotel, 5-star hotel service.

Overall can say Good! :) Free shutter bus to few places like Ocean Park, Central, Cyber port and Admiralty. :( Only bad thing is housekeeping, early morning will awake you.

Hotel is up to the standard but food is real ex. Check in late night and call for room service and wanton mee is HK 96. Room is clean and new. Toilet is clean also.

L'Hotel Island is a very nice hotel. A nice place to stay in. Will recommend this to my friends, family and other people that will go to hongkoing.

Excellent hotel, brand new, good value for money, fantastic staff, great food, and great location - 2 minutes to the Jumbo Restaurant, what more would one want - oh yeah, only 10 minutes by taxi to the centre of the city, so close to anything you may want to do. Highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel. Top service and the rooms absolutely top notch. The only thing is that it is located in an industrial area and is on the island south. The restaurant is pricey but the food is good, The buffet breakfast is great. The hotel has a free bus service that runs during the day to a number of locations. There are buses that run past the front door that run to the city. The great service and excellent quaility of the rooms out weigh the location. Highly recommend this hotel.
