for a motel at a prime location and with such price, it is recommended if you are looking for a cheap but a clean short stay.

Small hotel. The street in front of hotel is not so good but the hotel inside is very different. Staff is very helpful and nice. Good price.

I would call a five star hotel at 2 star price. Very clean hotel. Breakfast can have some improvement as meals are only delivered to room via trolley and no menu choices.

It's a small hotel, but its location is excellent, as it's just opposite Kaohsiung MRT Station. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast (provided together with the room booking) is served to us in our room. It was a simple breakfast, but it's good enough for a budget traveller. I'll strongly recommend this hotel!

We stayed 3 days in Life Hotel & Resort Kaohsiung, staff don't speak english very well (so we too), but they were very kind and tried to do the best for understanding and give us help or good accomodation. Room were very nice, and clean. Situated at only 1 minute from Kaohsiung main station and 5 minutes by walk from the night market, many little shops and 7 eleven around. Maria

Very nice hotel with big room and very clean, the only negative thing is that the room have no window (only one in the bathroom), but this is quite common for hotels in Kaohsiung.

Location great for arrival - very close to railway station. Not quite so close to main attractions, although the area is really interesting to walk around in. The staff are fantastic - incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating - also speak pretty good English. The room was a great surprise - clean, spacious, all mod cons - for the price an absolute bargain. Would stay there again in a heartbeat - in fact I would far rather stay there than a " 5-star " hotel full of tour groups.

very good hotel

Life Hotel & Resort is very close to the Kaohsiung Railway Station and MRT but entrance can only be found but finding "The Sports Bar" sign. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The rooms are of adequate size and very clean. There are some quirks to the hotel: the lifts are tiny (not for people with large luggage), the breakfast (which is more like brunch/lunch) is served directly to your room, and the bathroom configuration means you get the floor and toilet wet. I would stay at this hotel again.

Very convenient location for access to the MRT, National Rail Main Station and local/long distance bus stations. All reachable on foot in just over five minutes. This fully renovated hotel stands out among older buildings around it and once inside you have friendly and helpful staff to take care of you. No dining room, but you have breakfast delivered free to your room! I stayed for seven nights and took breakfast as it came, different in some way each time. Speaking a fair amount of Mandarin Chinese probably helped me get on so well with the staff and the day shift people gave me a nice send off, when I left for Taipei. Just a couple of occasions when noise was a bit of a problem. I look forward to going back to a warm welcome sometime!

We were very happy to stay at this hotel because staffs were very kind and friendly. the shower was so gorgeous. Only one thing if there were a samll table it would be more convenient.

We like this hotel very much. Sure will come back again. Location, room with clean bed & bath is more than expected. Very close to MRT station (only 5 minutes walk). The girls at reception was so nice and with smiles. The breakfast provided (send to room) is not our type...but lots of eating places just on outside street. What to expect more for such budget hotel. Life Hotel, you are great!

Highly recommended, especially for honeymooners or lovers. with unbeatable location just next to Kaohsiung main station. Quite tricky to find though. Service is impeccable and personalized. 5 stars.

Excellent service! Staff are warm, friendly and helpful. I was impressed by the many little touches added like the hot towel and tea served upon arrival, the detailed maps provided to aid us in our sightseeing etc. The room is comfortable and modern in decor. The little snacks provided in the room are tasty. There is even a hot water dispenser so you won't need to boil your water! Breakfast is served to your room every morning! The location is very central! The only catch is, you might have some difficulty locating it as it is not very prominent. However, if you get lost, just give them a buzz and they will come and pick you up! Overall, this hotel was definitely value for money!

Fantastic experience, we highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are new, clean, quiet, modern and stylish - with a big TV, huge shower with massage head, comfortable bed, and a hot water "Zip". The staff were helpful and friendly, and went above & beyond - e.g. they even printed us out information & directions for places we wanted to visit, and the bullet train timetable. Great location - 1min walk to the Kaohsiung Main subway station where most of the city's attractions are only 1-4 stops away.

The room is cosy. Great if you can add a coat stand for us to hang our jackets as the room does not have a wardrobe.

After finding the very discrete entrance I was very happy to find a clean hotel with nice sizable rooms. If they could employ someone who spoke at least a little english they may see an increase in western customers as it the hotel definitely meets the standards of most 'western' hotels.
