Lilac International Suites Guangzhou

This place is nicely situated just west of the east station. It's easy to find due to the lilac (coloured) signs. The rooms are clean and roomy with tasteful wicker furniture. There is a large courtyard with a carp filled pond - great if you want to get out of the room and can't face the whirl of the streets outside. The 2 bummers are: beds are rock hard (you can ask for an extra futon which helps a little) and there's no fridge (bad news for beer drinkers). The staff at the Lilac are very friendly and polite. In general it's excellent value.

Good hotel for the price. Lots of space with separate kitchen, lounge and bedroom. Excellent service. We arrived at 7am from the airport and were shown sraight to our rooms. Only downer was that the bed was rock hard.

Not the most glamorous hotel by any measure. But its clean, its friendly, and it does the job.

No currency exchange at front desk. First hotel that I have stayed in China where I have to worry about mosquito's. Breakfast was very basic but acceptable. Location works well for train/bus station.Free bus to Canton fair was good!

No more than a two-star, but it'll do the trick for a night or two at a very economical cost. Especially good for travellers who arrive at and/or depart from the Guangzhou Train Station.

A perfect location if you're arriving to or leaving Guangzhou by the East Railway Station. The city center is easily accessible by metro. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and very comfortable. Great value.
