Barken Viking no longer sails the seas, but lies well secured in a permanent berth at Gullbergskajen Quay.
Guests aboard Hotell Liseberg Barken Viking can enjoy a good night's sleep to the sound of waves and an outstanding restaurant. The menu focuses on traditional Swedish cuisine and seafood dishes. Right now we are open for lunch monday - friday and evening á la carte tuesday - saturday.
During the summer season guests can eat on deck and enjoy lighter dishes, drinks and snacks every day of the week.
Whatever the reasons for your stay, you will not be disappointed. Built in 1906, the four-masted barque ship of Hotell Liseberg Barken Viking is one of only 10 of her kind left in the world. The recentlty refurbished guest rooms are decorated in a maritime theme with decorative woodwork and artwork by local marine artist, Franz Glatzl.

Getting there:
Only a 5-minute-walk from the Central Station, located on the river directly behind Nordstan Shopping mall.
By car you follow signs for Centrum Nord, and then Lilla Bommen.
Check-in Procedure:
Check in starts at 3 pm, but we have 24 hrs reception so late arrival is no problem.
We also have a luggage room in case of early arrival.
Car parking:
No hotel parking available. We recommend the parking garage in shopping mall "Nordstan"
