LivingSpace The Tower opened in February 2005 having undergone an exciting arctitectural redesign of an old government building and now provides 96 quality hotel bedrooms consisting of Studios, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments. The decor is bright, funky and stimulating throughout. Facilities include a cosy basement movie theatre with big screen for watching movies and music, a lounge, games room and laundry, fantastic communal kitchens and dining areas on 5 levels for those wanting to cater themselves, and a 4th floor lounge with balcony offering great views. Our shower pressure is Fantastic! You will never want to leave. Studio rooms contain Double beds, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, jug, toaster and utensils, private bathroom, SKY TV, DD phone with voicemail and high speed internet connection. Our 2 bedroom units provide 2 Double bedrooms each with SKY TV, direct dial phone and internet connection, a kitchenette and dining table and separate bathroom. Our 3 bedroom apartments have full kitchen facilities and lounge areas with SKY TV and separate bathroom. Each bedroom has a double bed, SKY TV, direct dial phone and high speed internet connection. LivingSpace is walking distance to most of the citys amenities including shops, restaurants, SIT and The Civic Theatre.

Getting there:Located at 15 Tay Street on the city centre fringe, Tay Street becomes State Highway 1 heading north. If arriving from the North, we are located on the left hand side 100metres before the intersection with Dee Street. From the airport we are 5 minutes drive by taxi or rental car service available at the airport.
Check-in Procedure:24 hour staffing available. If arriving outside office hours the main entrance doors may be closed. Please contact the Duty Manager using the Intercom who will let you in and meet you to check-in. Credit Card details are required on check-in. Early check-ins are possible subject to availability. Luggage storage available for early arrivals and on day of departure.
Car parking:Limited basement parking available for $3.50 per day. This MUST be requested at time of booking however we cannot guarantee spaces.
Child Policy:Cot available free of charge.
Great location and very friendly staff. No air conditioning though and the room was a little warm (it was summer so I guess that's to be expected). Overall very good.
In many ways a good place to stay and very central, but incredibly noisy on a Saturday night. A nightclub three doors down that is still operating at 3.30am and howling winds makes sleeping difficult.

great facility where you could enjoy yourself in large groups or smaller. Also easy to meet people in the wicked shared kitchen and large movie rooms. Lots of space and nice and warm!!!
I was more than happy with everything about this place - it was well worth the money.
Always enjoy coming back to living space. Very clean and good facilities. Helpful friendly staff with a communal feel. Only complaint is that there are no shower screens in the studio rooms which means water goes all over the bathroom. They could also upgrade their televisions.

Brilliant accommodation! This place was a real find and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. A credit to Invercargill.

Staff helpful and in the heart of town, but very noisy most of the night from partying students in the street. Extremely cold - no electric blanket, heater didn't work. Says car parking available but it is a block away down a back allyway -not good coming back alone late at night, and charged for it. There are better deals around Invercargill if you are not a cold blooded all night partygoer who doesn't travel by car!

Had an excellent stay here. great location except for the noise - is it near a night club or something??? other than that it was great. Loved the Lobby with the pool table, ping pong and movie theatre
room was good ... pity the shower has no door so the bathroom tends to flood if you're not careful
Very nice apartments. Great to have triple rooms apartments as these seem really hard to get hold off. However a bit overboard on security (had to use card 5 times to get in apartment and even need it to get into bedroom!!!!). Also location is very very noisy (pub a couple of houses down and heaps of boyracers), makes it hard for a country pumpkin to sleep. But otherwise happy with it.
Livingspace was a very nice Hotel:) The staff was very nice and very helpful:) We very much enjoyed our stay.....especially the Movie theater:)
Tess at the front counter was very helpful and knowledgable - the Livingspace is a great place to stay - would definitely stay again and will recommend to other reps covering this area.

Very pleased with 2 bedroom appt, modern in an older building, well done having kitchen facilities on all floors & loved the cinema etc in the basement. Well thought out & very good for the price. Well situated in the centre of Town. but no noise. Staff very friendly & helpful.
