Getting there:Long Island is one of the 74 islands that make up the Whitsunday group of Islands. You can fly into Hamilton Island Airport or the Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine) Airport. Ferry transfers are available to Long Island from Hamilton Island, Abel Point or Shute Harbour. Our team at Long Island can arrange your ferry transfers for you by calling 1800 075 125. If you are arriving by train or plane from Proserpine(Whitsunday Coast or Proserpine Railway station) then you will need to catch a Whitsunday Transit Bus or Taxi and asked to be dropped off at Abel Point or Shute Harbour.
Check-in Procedure:Check in is 2pm. When you arrive at Long Island Resort a host will meet you at the jetty. They will then take you to Reception for Check in.
Car parking:Secure Parking Shute Harbour is available at Shute Harbour for approximately $22 per day. It is recommended to prebook Secure Car Parking. Alternatively pay and display car parking is available at both Abel Point Marina and Shute Harbour.
Child Policy:This property accepts children Infants are 0 to 3 years (inclusive) and child ages - 4 to 14 years (inclusive).
A little shabby chic but has a lovely charm about it, apparently it is undergoing a refurb shortly, had a beach view room which was great and opened directly onto the sand, beautiful island, great for a relaxing break, staff very friendly and helpful, found it really reasonable too considering you are a captured audience it was nice not to be ripped off, it is excellent value for money, having stayed on hamilton island i would def come back here again, its not flashy or overpriced, its simple and unfussy, walks are great, has everything you need for a chilled out holiday

An idyllic location with friendly and helpful staff - plenty of activities available and good food.
The Long Island Resort is tired and in need of a referb, Attention to detail is lacking. The buffet was very average, presentation. The dive shop was closed. (*and i was not notified*), and the wa it was like camp food, the water sports equipment was not in good repair ( particuly the cats ). Overall I was quite dissapointed. However the location is very beautiful.
The staff are very helpful and attentive. The reef just off the hotel's beach is a highlight not to be missed.
