Getting there:By Plane From “G. Galilei” airport in Pisa: Take the train in the airport that leaves the station, every hour, to reach the Florence railway station of Santa Maria Novella. From the railway station we suggest to take a taxi. Length of the ride 10 minutes. From “A. Vespucci” airport in Florence:we suggest the shuttle to the Florence railway station of Santa Maria Novella and then to take a taxi. Length of the ride 40 minutes. Alternatively you can take a taxi from the airport. Length of the ride 20 minutes. by train From the Florence railway station of Santa Maria Novella, Firenze Rifredi and Firenze Campo Marte: we suggest to take a taxi. Length of the ride 10-15 minutes. by car Regardless of the A1 highway exit (Firenze Certosa, Firenze Nord, Firenze Sud) follow directions to “viali di circonvallazione” (ring boulevards) then follow directions to Piazza della Libertà (Libertà Square). Once you get to the square take Via Lorenzo il Magnifico.

The room was a bit too small for two persons with three pieces of luggage
The room we were given on arrival was very nice,clean and decorated to a high standard but it did not have a window. Within minutes of asking for another room we were given the choice of two without hesitation.The reception staff could not of been more helpful in fact all the staff were very helpful recomending places to see and giving directions to very nice places to eat. WELL DONE !!!!! to everyone they made our stay very enjoyable, Thankyou
Beautiful hotel, which was luxurious. We enjoyed our stay. It was a little out of the centre of town. I would recommend this hotel.
The hotel was further out from the centre than we had realised when booking, but once we figured out where the buses departed from it was not too bad. However, because of the heat it was quite a trek back to the hotel from the main sites. However, was a good hotel in other respects, although the first day when we returned for a siesta at 2.00pm (the temperature outside was 38 degrees) we discovered the room was only being cleaned at 2.00pm (we had been out since 9.30am), and all we wanted was a wash and a lie down and had to wait in the corridor until the room was services. Thankfully this never happened again and the room was always serviced by the time we returned.
Would of prefered a hotel that was closer to everything which the Lorenzo was not. Location is so very important when you have a lot of sightseeing to do as it cuts you time in half. Very classy hotel inside, altho we had a standard room at the back of hotel so didnt feel a part of the classy part. Hot buffet b/fast was fantastic and plentifull. Dont think I would stay there again purely because of the location and would pay xtra dollars for something more central
Located at aprox. 15 minutes on fot from Santa Maria Novella Station, friendly staff, the bathroom only has a shower, but it's an amazing one. I would defenitely recommend this hotel to others, but if you want to do the city on foot, you'd better be young and fit.
we were delighted with the hotel and the warm reception we got from the very friendly staff. lovely hotel beautiful rooms very spacious just a minor thing there was no english progams on the tv the breakfast was adequate about a 15min walk into the centre. would stay there again. the taxi from santa maria station cost us 11euro in the evening and 9 euro in the day going home.
very nice hotel and very good breakfast. very clean. only the location is slightly off centre, takes about 15mins to walk to teh centre but still worth going.

An overall fantastic hotel with the best shower I've seen! While the breakfast team was fantastic, the front desk team service was terrible with an attitude of disregard and indifference.
The room we had was ideal for disabled guests, on the ground floor, plenty of hand rails and a wet room with walk in shower. Breakfasts were excellent with good choice.

True to it's name, this hotel is magnificent. The service is outstanding and the courtesy of the employees sets the standard for all international hotels. I will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Florence.
