Consumer Reviews and Rating

"Very classy and good hotel, with nice and well-equiped rooms that include a plasma screen and cd player. Part of the Yulara resort, which means high prices everywhere. Check out the internet for cheaper accomodation rates for this hotel." - Roy Kessels

"All hotels at Uluru are overpriced. If you want a good hotel it's exorbitant. This was lower end. We arrived by shuttle and there was minimal signage to the hotel from the drop off point, or as to where the well concealed reception was...not good when carrying bags! At least the receptionist was apologetic. Hotel design meant that wind blew leaves and dirt to right outside the rooms giving it an unkempt/dirty appearance. Room looked clean but a cockroach joined us to watch TV. The room was small but adequate. The only windows were in the toilet and shower - strange! " - Anonymous

"four nights spent here was a bit too long but we thogoughly enjoyed our stay " - Anonymous

"Very compact but functional room. VERY clean and tidy and quiet. Desk staff was helpful and informative; great location right next to information kiosk, shops, and restaurants. I would recommend the hotel to others." - Anonymous

Hotel Information
Hotel description:    In 1801, Padraic McKee traded the last of his money for three camels, then set out on an ill-fated expedition into the desert. The locals swear that on the quietest of nights, the sound of a lost camel can be heard commencing its long, slow journey home.

Contemporary, 3½ star studio-style accommodation, The Lost Camel features 99 guest rooms. The lobby features contemporary furnishings, bright open spaces, and an intimate café and bar. At the heart of the hotel is an inviting pool and deck, where guests soak up the sun and relax in between tours.

Furnished in a stylish mix of Aboriginal and urban themes, The Lost Camel brings a fresh, exciting feel to Voyages Ayers Rock Resort.

The guest rooms are decorated in bright, contrasting colours and crisp, clean whites. Stylishly framed photographs based on Aboriginal themes, such as hands weaving baskets or sifting through berries, adorn the walls to enhance this new hotel's distinctive, modern ethos.

With over 65 tours, local activities and attractions within the Resort and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, your days will be action-packed. Visit the Cultural Centre to learn about the land through Aboriginal arts, displays, videos and demonstrations. Take a walking tour to discover the natural flora and fauna of the area, or head to the viewing platforms of both Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) for the best view of an outback sunrise and sunset.
