Good location and service. Blanks were dirty.
very friendly staff, cheap and cheerful {hotel that is not staff :}}, close enough to city
Very good location. Rooms are comfortable. Staff is friendly. Not much for business traveller. Price is very good.
Small room but got all the basics, kettle, air con, TV, no chair. Nice hard bed and soft feather pillows. Very friendly staff. No elevator. Very clean. All recently renovated. Very close to Kings Cross. Ultra cheap but if you just want a room to crash in, unbeatable value.
Despite a great location & reasonable level of amenity, I would never return to this place due to an appalling smell from the plumbing in the bathroom. It was clear that this issue was known to the management but there was no satisfactory response.
It doesn't look like the pictures and the furnishings are sparse. Take some earplugs. There is a nightclub or something down stairs that thumps away into early morning (may be only on a weekend). The cafe that they provide free breakfast at (for one person) is a nice little place with very cheap meals.
Had been interested in staying at this property since I first noticed it in Feb 2006. For me, it's location is great. I was a little surprised to find my actual room was through an entrance located on Darlinghurst. Still, not too bad, being convenient to a number of the cross' better bars, restaurants and coffee shops. The room, itself, was small, clean, quaint. The ensuite bathroom was a bit awkward, the sink was a bit small and the shower curtain did little to keep water off the bathroom floor.
The manager is very helpful and remembered my name from my last visit in 2002.
Not quite the luxury boutique hotel they claim - our room didn't even have a window and the bathroom was the size of a postage stamp!!!
Great location. Freindly but limited services. Great for short stay busuness traveler.
very happy with our stay at l'otel darlinghurst, small neat modern rooms very clean. friendly helpful staff AAA+ can recommend to anyone and we will go back again on our next stay in sydney.
Requested a balcony and this was given with no additional costing. Location was fantastic with a ten minute walk to the city. Rooms were good for the price but as it is a boutique hotyel - no lifts although there are only 2 flights of stairs.
Price was good for Sydney and there is a good breakfast place two doors away.
Small room, OK if you just need a bed for the night and don't intend on staying in the room other than sleeping.
I would suggest to anyone considering staying here that they book a "deluxe" room - the "grand" rooms are very small indeed. The staff are excellent - very helpful and friendly. However, much more attention needs to be given to broken fittings and furnishings, and an improved standard of cleaning is clearly needed.
This is a small hotel, with small rooms though they have been well thought out and well presented spaces. Everything is in minimalist style and in muted shades of white - very contemporary. Its well located on the fringes of the Sydney CBD and inner residential areas and 2 city blocks from the Kings Cross rail station.
good location and price, can't see outside though so a bit claustrophobic, and we were in a 'grand' room.
L'otel was a little, perfect find - gentle, friendly and helpful staff offered local suggestions and perfect touring ideas.
