staffs are great service mind, and i think the room very spacial view for me.
The hotel rated as a four star hotel, however, the facilities in a room does not meet the standard. For example, there are no kettle, tea, coffee, hair dryer and etc.
Located on Huay Kaew Wing. Room with shower only, Bedding is Twin bed only, room size 32 sqm.
Located on Suthep wing.Rooms with bath and shower, room size 42 sqm.
The lofty room panorama view. Bathtub separate shower room, which is divided suitably to give you a better comfort.
The room I got was not what I had asked for-- I had asked for a room facing Doi Suthep in the main building. Instead, I was put in a room that smelled unclean, allowed me to see nothing but roof out of the windows. Breakfast was of low quality. You should not offer free breakfast if the quality if belw par. Transportation from the airport to the hotel was free of charge, but transportation to the airport (to return home) should also be free of charge as well.
very poor ABF. Should improve
There are a lot of shops near the hotel and the historic center of chiang mai.
Pleasant service.Nice breakfast.Access to steam room and sauna.Close to shopping centre.Convenient
orginally booked to a standard room- dark and dingy upgraded to dulux for a small extra cost. Also std rooms in a seperate wing, gereraly tired and a considerable distance from the pool. Dulux room ok. Lighting lower than usual however quite restful really. Pool large and somewhat elderly, however appeared clean, we used it daily without health issues.
I have stayed at this hotel several times. Staff is good, food ok.
We have stayed in this hotel each year that we vacation in Chiangmai and have been really happy with it but, since this trip we felt that the rooms needs to be remodel and update. Half of the time, the switch for all the lights/tv are broken, the shower curtains are dirty, the a/c was leaking water each time we turn it on, the carpet are dirty and it took forever for the maids to clean and get our room made up. Lastly, we were a little disappointed in the breakfast food, before it had alot of varieties but now its just so plain and the service people were really slow in cleaning up the tables and setting it up for the next guest. Other than that we love the fact that its close and convenience to all the shopping.
Great hotel, great location for food and shopping, good service all at a reasonable price.
The hotel is kind of old. Furniture and setting are not to my personal liking as its way too dim in the room.
Lighting was relatively dim in the room and around the corridor. View from the hotel room was nothing spectacular, despite staying at the deluxe room. The porter went all out to help us "upgrade" from 2nd floor to 12th floor, when we complained about the low-rise room view upon arriving at the room.
The Hotel was great and huge with shoping center, fast food stall just beside it. Was given a big room very tidy and clean. The swimpool is big and great for swimmer. The location is much further to the nite bazaar and is quiet during nite time. If you like to avoid the crowd this is the place to stay.
Note that there are two wings - the wing that i stayed in was the older one. I think that the newer wing would have given me a more relaxing stay. If you can, check which wing you will be staying in before booking.
I found the room a little dingy and depressing but it was clean. The place is so huge it was challenging to find my way around. I was in the old wing and suspect the new wing is likely better. The pool was fabulous.
