Louvre Saint Romain Hotel Paris

Great Location close to the Louvre. The room was large and bathroom recently renovated. The room furnishings were a bit like your nan's room, but I think this added to the charm. There is no aircon in the room, just a small fan, however windows open, but be prepared for traffic noise. Free access to internet and hotel has shuttle service to airport. When booking contact the hotel re this service as it is cheaper than cab. Breakfast was included in price, but is limited to cold buffet. The price may seem expensive for a 2 star hotel, but you are in Paris where everything is expensive.

location couldn't be better! can get everywhere from here..if you don't want to walk, metro or bus are barely a block away. not a fancy place but clean and all we needed-who goes to paris to sit in the hotelroom anyway :)

I would not recommend this hotel for anything other than its location. I do not know how it has been rated as a 3 star. Although clean, my room was dark, depressing and badly in need of some decoration / renovation. Although breakfast was supposed to be included in the price, i did not get a chance to sample it. There are approx 35 rooms in the hotel and 5 breakfast tables squashed into a tiny room in the basement. Every morning there was a large queue of people sitting on the stairs leading to the breakfast room, waiting for a table to come available.

Most of Paris "must see" places within walking distance. Excellent breakfast. The room requires renovation really soon!

A great hotel if you want something close to the centre of town of basic/resonable quality and reasonable price. The rooms were clean (if a bit small) and staff were friendly and helpful. We have stayed in cheaper hotels up near montmatre before, but since my wife is pregnant we wanted to avoid the slopes. The metro, tuillerie gardens and the Louvre are about 100m away and there is a great selection of little cafes in the backstreets. The St James super-hotel is just around the corner, and walking past it you couldn't help feeling a bit smug that you are paying 1/4 of the price...more money for eating out!!!

This was my first visit to Paris. The Hotel was very charming, with traditional style and appeal. The rooms are clean, well equipped and sunny, with shutters opening onto the street below. Very close to the Louvre, Champs Elysee, Arc de Triomphe, shopping, cafes, parks. Great value for money in an excellent location.

Great central location in a quiet street just opposite the Tuilleries, metro and supermarket round the corner and very clean. We had a room on the 5th floor with balcony! Will stay there again next time.

Wonderful hotel extrmely central. Great service.

The place was nice, if smallish. The really neat part was the proximity to the Metro and the sights. I would stay there again. The staff was great and the rooms were clean.
