Getting there:
FROM THE M6: take junction 40 on the M6 and follow the A686 to Alston. Turn right on the B6277 signposted to Barnard Castle and then take the first left, the A689 to Nenthead, Stanhope and Durham. The entrance to the hotel is 2½ miles along this road on the left at the junction with the B6294.
