central for aviemore centre. hotel facilities near by. staff friendly and helpfull. excellent breakfast wirh lots of choice well presented.
The reception staff were very friendly on arrival and at check out. The breakfast is very good.
More signs/directions urgently needed. Hotel entrance very hard to find in the dark and rain. Was low season, hotel nearly empty, so lots of areas closed. Aspects restaurant was in an annex of the bar - utterly unacceptable; all other restaurants closed, so went into Aviemore. May be a 4 star in high season, was comfrtable enough - very nice room and would stay again, but did not feel I was in a 4 star.
The first rom we were offered had a rather unpleasant musty smell. We talked to reception about this and we were offered an alternative room. Our concern was dealt with politely and effeciently. The rest of the stay was faultless I would recommend this hotel for families and couples alike. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
Stayed for only 2 nights, but no way would I have paid the amount the hotel was charging for a room!!. The resort itself is very nice, but again a little on the expensive side. Leisure facilities were decent enough but not exclusive to the resort guests.I could have stayed at another hotel and paid the £6 per day to use them.Quiet enough at night, worth the stroll into Aviemore for a bit more variety, but beware of the many golfers who stay and rise at first light, very noisy then, or at least it was in the part in which we stayed. All in all though, we did enjoy it.
Excellent facilities, great location, good choice of food will definately be returning
lovely hotel, friendly staff stayed twice now great location.
VERY disappointed with our stay in this hotel. Bathroom dirty, and hotel room not 4 star. Reception unmanned, however, dining room very impressive and waiting staff helpful. Would not recommend this hotel
I spent the Easter weekend at the resort, the resort was excellent. Lots to keep you active, ski ing within the local mountain ranges. The resort had a brilliant spa complex. All the staff very nice, well mannnered and alway at hand if you needed help or a question answered. I would reconmend and will also revisit with my family. L Kerr Client/Quest
Had a fantastic night at the MacDonald Highlands Hotel Aviemore. After a days hard skiing it was lovely to come into a nice warm room, have a nice hot bath and relax. My only advice would be to offer some further information on restaurants/pubs in Aviemore as we weren't fully aware where was good to go and also what time restaurants closed etc. Breakfast was fabulous.
Lovely hotel to stay in. Prices were very good!
More facilities within the centre would be good, centre not as good as it used to be, eg no go karts, amusements, ice skating. more pubs and resturants in the centre would help too
Had a great stay - only complaint it was slightly cold in the hotel, had to ask to put the fire on which should of been a feature anyway. Apart from that good stay all round.
It was a bit confusing finding reception when arriving on foot with trailing luggage from the railway station. The weather was good, but the walk would not be good in bad weather. Staff in the hotel, and particularly the restaurant Aspects, were very friendly and helpful.
Polite staff, excellent breakfasts! Excellent entertainment programme in the evenings. Lovely swimming pool.
Very plush hotel in beautiful surroundings. Only comment is that the reception is not in the same building as we were staying, however, that was the only grumble.
Clean, spacious room. Excellent breakfast. Aviemore facilities all close by
Hotel room was nice but corridors a bit dreary and hotel had little atmosphere. However facilities good and breakfast lovely.
The Quality of the room was exceptionaly good; Large and comfortable
check in times rubish after a journey you dont want to wait until after 4pm to get settled .only 2 people on reception for four hotels, no seating area for anyone waiting to check in.having booked on line found no one really knew who I had payed my visa to and they didnt seem to know if it was b&b or with dinner the staff do not seem to be informed about guests booking on line .
