Macia Plaza Hotel Granada Guest Reviews

A very basic hotel with very small rooms. However, good bathroom. Location is its best attraction.

Location, location and location! Newly renovated, very clean, helpful stuffs; Alhambra is visible from the room (e.g., ask for room 402). Many places to eat at walkable distances, buses to alhambra leaves right outside the hotel.

This hotel is ideally placed for visiting old Granada and Alhambra. It is advisable to inform hotel if arriving by own car as access to the Plaza is limited by 'pop-up' bollards in road at times. Hotel can lower them for you. Parking at sister hotel. Rooms basic clean bathrooms well equiped. Highly recommended.

Excellent choice for a short stay in Granada, bang in the centre of the city. Rooms are small but spotless. Breakfast is extra.

This is the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel and I can recommend it to anyone who visit Granada . It is perhaps the best hotel for a central location , and within easy reach of the Alhambra.

Very friendly staff at this hotel. The rooms are basic but clean - quite small but you don't go on holiday to stay in your room all day, do you? The ony complaint I have is with the breakfast - the milk was sour on two occasions, the bread very hard (sometimes stale) and much of the fruit bruised. Still, there were lots of snacks and biscuits that we took to see us through our day. A great location and great service means this comes highly recommended.

Staff was helpful. We felt the price was good for the value we got. Breakfast was nice. Coffee and tea needs to be hotter.

My wife and I found the hotel excellent and the staff extremely helpful and pleasant. They went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. We found the restaurant excellent and very good value, we therefore took up the offer of breakfast and dinner every day. The only drawback was the situation of the hotel at the outskirts of the town and the steep hill leading up to the entrance

An excellent location in the Plaza Nueva, this hotel was celan, functional and provided a quiet night's rest. The price is very reasonable, the only drawback being no breakfast!

Staff quite helpful. Room small but very clean and very quiet (maybe because it was at the back of the hotel). Beds really comfortable. Breakfast OK. Perfectly situated for restaurants, buses for Albaicin and Alhambra, taxis and coach to airport. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We'd stay here again.

This hotel is in just about the best location in Granada, the only drawbacks were 1) Access to parking ( although this is a common problem with city hotels in Spain ) and 2) The staff were not as helpful as staff in other hotels we stayed at. Saying that, I would still recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in an excellent location and therefore is good value for money. Downside, there are only 8 rooms with views onto the main square and even though we had requested one of these on original booking, if possible, we were refused, being told that they were taken. However, when we went up to our room (this was early -approx midday and midweek),they were all visibly empty and the room we were given had no view whatsoever. Guess they were pre reserved or were for those paying higher rates?? Also, staff pretty aloof and bedding in short supply. However, clean, newly refurbished rooms and location makes up for the above. Some great tapas bars round the corner and bus/taxi to Alhambra a few steps in front of hotel.

The Hotel was ideally situated for the Arab Quarter, AlHambra, vegetarian restaurant, Cathedral quarter, university. Fantastic! Clean, bright, modern. Friendly and helpful staff. No coffee/tea facilities in room and room a little small for two people, but since we were rarely in it, it didn't matter and loads of cafes nearby.

Great location - for visiting the Alhambra, and wandering in the Arab Quarter, and a shortish taxi ride from the railway station. Outdoor restaurants by the fountain in front of the hotel, friendly staff who spoke English and booked a night tour for us. A/C very welcome and we had a nice quiet reasonably-sized room. Would definitely stay here again - good value.
