Macia Real De La Alhambra Hotel Granada

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and the internet blazingly fast. Parking was easy in the area and the bus downtown came every 15 minutes. We didn't even bother with a cab. The buffet breakfast was reasonable and if you just want coffee and toast, it was included without charge.

We chose this because we stayed at a Macia hotel in Cordoba and this one was also lovely. However it is a bit out of the way but the 33 bus takes you into the centre of the city which is near to everything including the Alhambra. Although the hotel is supposed to be in the Alhambra district it i not close to it at all.

Disappointed with the lady who ran the bar, unfriendly and quite rude otherwise everything fine.

Nice and comfortable bedrooms, very clean bathroom with great bath. Good pool and excellent spa service. If breakfast was included that would be an added extra however if was an additional cost.

Very nice hotel conveniently situated but requires transport to get into Granada or to the Alhambra.

Good funky, well designed and modern hotel for a weekend stay. and very easy to get in out of Granada. There is a bus stop next to the hotel and the regular no 33 takes you to Placa Nueva, ideal for the city centre and Albacin/Alhambra. Forget the taxi from the hotel they take too long and the route taken is frustrating as they tend to use the ring road. The spa in the basement is really excellent and I would recommend the massage, steam, jacuzzi package for €30. The staff are really friendly and professional. However the evening meal we had on the Saturday night was poor. We tried two fish dishes both were not fresh and service was abrupt and matter of fact. The double bedroom has two single beds pushed together which is another negative point to an otherwise pleasant and relaxing experience.

Very nice hotel with clean and big rooms. The location isn't in the heart of the town but that's okay as you can easily take a 15 mins bus ride to the town center. Alhambra is also just a 5 min bus ride away.

THE HOTEL NEEDS BETTER SIGNS AS IT TOOK US 1 HOUR TO FIND THE HOTEL EVEN THOUGH WE WERE WITHIN 5 KLMS OF IT AT THE ALAMBRA AND PHONED FOR DIRECTIONS THE SIGNS IS LOCATED ON TOP OF THE BUILDING SO VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE FROM ROAD

While close to the Alhambra by cab and to the city by bus which stops a few metres from the hotel, there is not much immediately around this hotel and walking anywhere decent is not an option - it is up an extremely steep hill towards Alahambra. The rooms are larger than an average room in a Spanish hotel and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

It is good 4 stars hotel, just a little bit aside from the city centre (10 minutes by bus). I gave average rating for service because of reception beeing short of staff.

An excellent hotel - in a good position to visit the Alhambra ('Hop-on, Hop-off' tourist bus stop nearby, plus good local bus route into town). Outdoor Swimming Pool was fairly good. We didn't have time to try the indoor pool (Also no information was readily available about this facility). Restaurant service was acceptable, plus reasonably priced meals, with good selection at breakfast. Would go again, as also in a good position for visiting Sierra Nevada.

A good hotel where we came back 12 days later. So that good.

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (5&6 yrs old).We stayed for 3 nights in room 230 in July 2008. When check in the hotel was ready with double bed and an additional bed for us, everything was very efficient and fast. We found the price was very good for us as a family of 4 other hotels would want us to book 2 rooms instead of 1. The location was not in the city centre ,it is a 10 minutes bus ride. The bus route was very efficient having buses running every 10-15 mins . The bus stop is very nearby and so we did not found difficulties in getting around to the city center. The Alhambra is very near but it is advisable to catch the taxi up ,it cost 5 euros. The room and hotel is very modern and clean. We would highly recommend this hotel if anyone is intend to stay in Granada.

Lovely hotel away from the downtown but only short drive from the Alhambra. Good breakfast.

The staff were extremely courteous and helpful--the hotel, brand new and really lovely, isn't in the heart of Granada, but is close to the Alhambra and it's very easy to get to town on one bus a couple of minutes walk from the hotel.

A very modern hotel,good location and helpful friendly staff at reception.
