"Mr and Mrs Mackay were most friendly and charming. They gave us directions to nearby restaurants, and the taxi phone number for our pick-up the next day.

"A bench in bathroom would be a good idea as only a small basin.
Also, a small bedside table next to mainbed would be good to have. There is one on other side of bed but not much room due to a very large lamp, phone and clock - - little space to put a glass of water!

Mackays Mission Beach is located in the heart of beautiful Mission Beach, only 50 metres from the beach. Here there is a beach side cafe and adventure sports centre. All our units are built around a rainforest garden, with a natural granite swimming pool. Most units are 4 star, however we have a small number of 3 star for the budget minded.
Mackays Mission beach was nominated as Best Hotel in North Queensland by the Australian Federation of Travel Agents. We offer good service and we are the package specialists, which guarantees our clients the best value for accommodation and tours.
Mission Beach has a small business centre with a selection of restaurants and cafes. There are a variety of shops including gift shops and boutiques. All of which are only 300m away.

From Cairns, Mission Beach is 1 1/2 hours south on highway 1.
Turn left when you get to ElArish and it will take 10 minutes to reach the beach. We are the first tourist property located on the sea side of the main road.
From Townsville, Mission Beach is 2 1/2 hours north on highway 1.

Reception is open between 7.30am and 9pm. Please notify us in advance if you are arriving outside these hours and we will organise your check-in. Credit card imprint will be taken as security for additional expenses e.g tours, meals and phone. |
