Good location. Around the corner from excellent cafes. Walking distance to station. Parking is not a problem but for the best spots (unlimited parking) you need a little luck. Toilets and showers kept very clean.

I booked a single room which was small but adequate. It came with sink, fridge, microwave and cutlery so it was possible to prepare some meals to cut down on costs. The hotel is very near Woolworths so buying anything was very convenient. There was also a remote controlled ceiling fan which was invaluable in dealing with the humidity. The shared bathroom was tiny but modern and the shower worked well. The only downside was the garbage trucks in the adjoining lane which started loading bins at 6am on the Saturday and at 7am on the Sunday. Not a place to try and sleep in. Staff were also very friendly. This was better value than the Challis Lodge around the corner which I used previously.

It was clean. Room was absolutely tiny, not like photo on website. Very very noisy (outside noise mainly), limited ventilation, very basic bathroom facilities (2 per floor). Relatively unhelpful/unsympathetic staff.

Great location... in ritzy Potts Point, but close to Kings Cross's fascinating lifestyle. Great value for money. Basic hotel room with shared facilities, but comfortable enough. Very pleasant, helpful reception staff. Try "Sailor's Thai" restaurant downstairs... yummy!

Good clean cheap no frills hotel. Friendly and helpful staff too. Too hot to stay there in Summer though as we boiled in mid November! Ceiling fans don't do much when you're on top floor of this place. Will stay again when it's cooler though.

This venue is a very comfortable and clean place to stay and for the price it is well worth it. I was very pleased with the hospitality of the staff!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Macleay Lodge. It had everything we needed, it was really clean and it felt homely. We never heard any noisy residents or had any complaints. Highly recommend a stay here. Possibly the only negative point is that the kitchenette needs a microwave as we couldn't cook anything at the hotel, but there is some great restaraunts near by...

We had 2 rooms in the hotel, the one at the front of the building was very good value for money. My youngest daughter and i were in a room at the back of the hotel. Unfortunatly, this room was very hot and stuffy with no netting at the window. The fridge was also very noisy especialy during the night. We would stay in this hotel again, but requst a room at the front of the building.

What is seen as pictures on Internet is not the reality. The Comment about cleanliness is that the reality is the antique ness of the furniture. Refurbishment is essential

you get what you pay for here and it is very good value indeed! the place is friendly enough, you get a basic room with kettle and sink and utensils but at a very good price in an excellent area of sydney. great cafes, restaurants, delis, laundry, drycleaning, woolies on your doorstep as well as an excellent arthouse theatre. a happening area and well placed for buses to the harbour, or eastwards.

Only thing we didn't have in room was toaster but that could be related to the smoke alarm. They did ask guests not to cook in their rooms. Well presented, courteous staff.
