We were extremely satisfied with the standard of accommodation, the helpful staff and the convenient location.
Parking is not very good, very small space and risky, we stay 3 night in 7 floor with very good view we see Sydney Bridge and opera house. Receptionist and the manager there they are very friendly and helpful. will stay at Macleay again when ever we are in Sydney.

If you are after modern up to date accommodation this may not be the place for you. But if you are after a good comfortable apartment with cooking facilities this would be highly recommended. Paying for a room with a view of the harbour bridge and the opera house is well worthwhile.
Having stayed in many hotels throughout the world we loved staying here and the staff were exceptionally helpful. As this was our first visit to Sydney they advised us on the best routes etc and nothing was too much bother. The location was great also with a short walk through the Botanical Gardens to the Opera House and coming back from the Opera House at night after the show a taxi cost $10.
Staff at the hotel Macleay were very welcoming and friendly. I stayed for three nights, and the room was comfortable and clean. Not a large size room but everything that you need for a couple of nights, including views of the bridge and opera house (from my 8th floor room). I would go back again if doing business close to that area of Sydney. Thanks for having me and making my stay comfortable. Kind regards
Wonderful Staff and services! I highly recommend!
Stay fine. So glade the room deodoriser smell was not overpowering as on previous visits.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, including posting sometihng I left behind - greatly appreciated. Great location and very comfortable rooms. I will definitely stay there again
Certainly not a 4 star hotel. More like 3 stars at a 4 star price. Ceiling was peeling and bathroom sub standard. Staff on during the day very ordinary.
We found the staff to be very courteous. The location is great and parking made a huge difference to us.
We stayed at the Macleay for 6 nights in Feb.2010.We arrive around 11:00am after a long flight from Vancouver Canada and our room was ready right away. We stayed in a district view room. The apartment had everything we needed for our time there. The kitchen had the basics ( two of everything -plates, dinnerware, cups etc). The staff was very helpful in arranging tours, giving directions, recommendations for attactions. For location, it was a good walk to Sydney Tower and the waterfront. (Take good walking shoes) and on the 311 bus line from downtown. All-in-all I would stay there again.
I have stayed at Macleay Serviced Appartments many times and have always found the smell of the room deodoriser overpowering when opening the door. I am pleased to report that did not happen on this visit - thank goodness.
This is the second time we have stayed here- the first was in 2005. The reception staff are exceptionally helpful and the rooms have excellent facilites. This time, we had a harbour ( as distinct from a bridge) view. we preferred this as we were not overlooked. We had a bit of difficulty with the internet and the hotel needs to upgrade to a wireless system. The internet fee for use of own laptop was excessive. We used the shuttle to the airport at less than half the taxi fee. We will stay at Macleay again if we are in Sydney
Good attentive staff, lovely views, clean and quiet place
Excellent value for money, excellent location.
A spotless hotel, however if you were disabled in any way or more that 170 cm it would be very difficult to use the shower. The hotel was difficult to find, very little signage. The reception staff knew very little about the area, when asked where was good to eat, the receptionist said just go up the road there are lots of places. Across the road we stumbled upon Zinc restaurant, the service and quality of the meal just hit the spot.
Very good location, easy to get into the city from here by foot, bus No. 311 or rail from Kings Cross Station. I even had a view of the harbour from my room.
Great location.
A very convenient and friendly place. Have already recommended it to two family members who plan to visit Oz next year
this Hotel like myself has reached a mature age, and as so has all the aches and pains, and in need of some TLC.
