"A nice location overlooking the ocean and about 15 min walk to Cathedral Sé.
The hotel décor is bland but that doesn't bother me.

The Madeira Regency Club is a four star resort hotel with 96 apartments, opened in 1987, with private access to the sea and a large heated seawater pool, with separate children's pool. The majority of the apartments face the blue Atlantic Ocean and the harbour, where one can enjoy the most spectacular sunrises. Everywhere, you will enjoy the warm, excellent service and here everything is arranged for your personal comfort and convenience, allowing you to enjoy a complete relaxing holiday.
The Madeira Regency Club is situated on the seashore just 1 Km outside the increasingly busy centre of the capital city Funchal. Close to the Hotel you will find restaurants and popular local bars with live music several evenings during the week.
The superb Maison Blanche Restaurant in the lobby serves a tasteful buffet breakfast daily and where you can also enjoy the choice of trying gastronomic specialities, not only from the island, but also international cuisine. Several special theme evenings with entertainment are organised in the restaurant during ones stay. The pool bar serves snacks, drinks and lunches.
In the lobby bar with the piano, one can always try the special Cocktails from the island, international long drinks for an aperitif or just a coffee and brandy after the meal. |

From Madeira Airport follow the main highway road (Via Rápida) West in the directon of Funchal. As you enter Funchal, continue until you reach the Harbour, where you turn right. Continue along the sea front passing both the Yacht Marina and cruise line harbour on your left-hand side. Beyond the Harbour the road bends to the right and begins to go uphill. You will find the Madeira Regency Club one third of the way up the hill on the right hand side. |
