3.5 STAR RATED MOTEL/ B&B .Located in Melbourne's elegant, historic precinct. Magnolia Court Boutique Hotel offers a variety of unique accommodation styles. Magnolia Court Boutique Hotel Melbourne Guest Reviews

3.2 out of 5

The location was very good for me. The room left me alittle disappointed. The lights in the room need attention, one had its cover missing, the other did not work, the bed side table was very hard to switch on. Whilst the room had a micro-wave, toaster, there was no cutlery when i went use it. Also the uht milk in the fridge was off when i made a cup of tea. I purchased some myself at the 7/11 down the road. The t.v. had bad pixelation it seemed everytime a electrical device was used.

Very pleasant stay. Excellent location and a good breakfast as part of the tariff. Small room but still good value.

A great place to stay to go to a game at the MCG. Rooms are a bit small and have definitley seen better days. It felt a bit Fawlty Towers-ish, especially at breakfast.

We had a two single bed room. The beds were big and the room had two windows, adequate bathroom, microwave, toaster, fridge, jug and coffee and tea. It was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was included and very good. It was walking distance to MCG and City. We would stay there again. Car parking was quite squeezy but staff moved cars for us.

East Melbourne attracts 2 types of travellers: Those heading to the MCG, or those with friends/family in one of the 20+ hospitals within 2kms. Neither traveller is going to be incredibly particular about their lodgings, and for those The Magnolia Court is probably fine. For a business traveller, it leaves a little to be desired. Rooms are oddly-shaped and dark, with no real windows. The B&B chic will be attractive to some, but probably gives off that old relatives' house vibe (and maybe just a hint of odour) to most.

We had no idea what to expect when we booked this hotel and were absolutely delighted when we arrived. The "old world charm" commences when you walk through the lavender garden and continues inside with the furnishings and decor. We loved it. The staff were friendly, our room on the 2nd floor was lovely and in the morning the dining room was bright, sunny and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was included in the very reasonable tariff and you could choose to dine inside or on the small terrace. Another bonus was the free off street parking. Would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at this Hotel a few times before but this time we thought it had become very tired. The garden was not maintained and the surrounds needed a good sweeping. The location is excellent, breakfast was adequate and the parking good.

I couldn't find any faults at all with this hotel. I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. It is clean, quiet, pleasant service and a cooked breakfast at no extra cost just topped it off. It is situated in a beautiful part of Melbourne, close to magnificent gardens, sporting and entertainment venues and city shops.

I have stayed here a number of times. It is a small hotel in a great location: quiet and within easy walking distance of the CBD and MCG. While the rooms are small they are well maintained and comfortable. The staff are extremely helpful. The price usually includes a cooked breakfast. This hotel is great value for money
