The hotel is indeed a little bit run-down, but for that rate one shouldn't complain. It has most facilities available in budget hotels and the counter staff is very helpful. Very near to 2 tube stations and to 2 museums as well. The hotel is loaded with Spanish students and they are on the whole very well-behaved. Unlimited supply of coffee, tea and buns for a reasonably priced continental breakfast. It seems all the staff working there are migrant workers (except the char lady perhaps). There is no reason why I shouldn't book this hotel again.
My first trip back after two years, whilst there is nothing drasticly wrong with the hotel and the staff are great the rooms have started to look tired. If your paying £30 you think great but £45 is toppy. The cold tap did not work, but to be fair it was repaired the following day before I complained. The TV reception was bad with only BBC 1 working as there was an issue with a broken ariel. One oof the reasons I was happy to stay here was the shower room was always clean which it still is but its just looking very tired and ok its fine if your on your own but you would not take your partner. The hotel needs a spruce up and a lick of paint and then it would be grand........but to be fiar I have staid in worse. No kettle for coffee etc either... But no complaints about the staff as they are always jolly etc.

You get what you pay for! The entrance and reception area are very tired. Carpets in the lobbies are threadbare but hey the sheets were clean and they supply clean towels.. at that price no one has the right to complain. Good central location. Pity they don't have coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Oh and the TV has no signal.
Nothing to write home about, but acceptable. A major overhaul is needed.
Simple room but very cleaned for price and location. Staff friendly.
As soon as you realize the average hotel pricing in London, you'll see that Majestic is actually quite a good choice, as it is in a very good location, it gives you a private bathroom, sheets and towels are changed every day, and luggage storage facility is free of charge! For crying out loud, in a city where a bed in a hostel, in a 12 people dorm, with shared bathroom and lockers for which you pay for costs like 25 pounds per person per night, i don't think that Majestic is such a bad choice, no sir, not at all.
Great location and excellent price for a Kensington hotel. Couldn't fault the staff or facilities at all. Why pay twice the price unless you desperately need the extras of a four-star? I'd stay again!
Staff were very friendly and helpfu. Linen, towels, room and bathroom were all very clean but overall the facilities (e.g. carpets, walls etc) have not seen renovation in recent years. Reasonable pricing means that large groups of European studens found it a good place to stay also - slamming doors, shouting in the corridors and behaving very noisily until the early hours both nights of my stay. While front desk staff were helpful in trying to shut them up, this added an unpleasant aspect to the experience that one would presumably not have at pricier hotels.
Decent sized room with 3 single beds, very warmly heated but unable to lower. Receptionist less than helpful, housekeeping staff very accomodating and let us book into room 2 hours early. Problems with bath as it took 15 mins to run 2 inches of water which ran out of bath in 5 mins so no long relaxing bath after sightseeing! Lift out of order next morning, bar permanently closed so regard this as an adequate place to sleep and no more.
I like the hotel especially the location and price, however the only minus I can think of is that we left our lunch at the front desk and asked her to put in the fridge for us. However she did not until we found out later which is very bad. None of the second shift knows about it despited she told me she will leave a note to them.
hi i am happy with urs hotel thnk u
Basic hotel could do with updating but extremely good value for money. If you're looking for a central London hotel without the pricey extras then I would recommend the Majestic. Front of house staff were friendly and professional Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. The room was clean although small as was the bathroom. Recommended for a cheap bed for the night
Great location, fantastic price and friendly staff. Fab for travelers, short breaks and people on a tight budget:-)
not very clean, was a bit worried about staying but was only ther for one night. lots of noise in night,
It's impossible to sleep properly in a street side room. We went in February, the heating was so high that we couldn't sleep without propping the window open, but then the traffic noise from the street kept us up. We barely slept over 2 nights and moved to another hotel. The reception staff was good and cordial but they don't have even internet access on the premises.
As an experienced traveler to London I couldn’t find better value for such money. Neither could you if you are in London for a few days and all you need is just a place for sleep. Don’t expect nothing, not any kind of even [other hotels]. But compare rates at [other hotel] which is across the street and you’ll understand everything. I’ve stayed twice and definitely will return. Staff, location, rates are excellent.
Poor breadfast. However, 52 Pounds is a bargain price for such a good location---safe area, 10mins to Metro station.
Great hotel 5 minutes walk from Earls Court Tube station. Basic amenities but great for one or two nights.
basic hotel, served the purpose of sleeping in london. would stay again.
the hotel is not great, this is a fact! but for budget travellers is excellent, especially the location! i would advice anyone that can not afford a luxury hotel but wants to visit london to go there! i personally didn't experience any problems with the hotel, everything was working and i had a great weekend in london! p.s. don't buy breakfasts, they are expensive for what they offer
