Maldron Hotel Cork

friendly, helpful staff good location - close to city centre but quiet

I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the start/finish line for the Cork Marathon and it didn't disappoint. Although I arrived early, my room was ready. The room was big, with an oversized bathroom. Unfortunately my room didn't have wifi and I had to go into the hallway or downstairs to access it. Gym had adequate weights and cardio equipment, although you had to purchase a swimming cap (3 Euro) to enter the pool area. The bar menu was quite extensive and I was pleasantly surprised by the healthy options. The restaurant was also very willing to cater for my needs the night before the marathon. Would stay there again.

This hotel was just up the hill from the city, within a short walking distance (10 mins). The room was very spacious and staff friendly. They also had free onsite parking (although limited). I would happily stay there again and reccommend to others.

The Maldron was a great hotel although our room overlooked an old cemetry. . Easy to find and very comfortable. They had parking though it was full and we had to park on the street which was a little difficult to get. The food in the bar was great and reasonably priced after a day of sightseeing.

We arrived on a wet and cold day. Reception welcoming and were of immediate assistance when glasses broke. Be aware there is parking availability but it is tight, and there is the posibility of being "parked in" in the morning. Room spacious, bed comfortable.

good location 5min walk down to city shops etc, great breakfast kept us going all day, friendly staff, pool and changing areas to be repaired/refurbed which to be fair it needs,really enjoyed our 4 day stay

This was a last min booking for our football team who were playing a fixture against cork - the hotel was fantastic The bar was open very late - to watch the boxing - all in all - an excellent experience!! we won 4-1!!

A very friendly place to stay with good service and good size rooms

Pub downstairs is great and you get free wifi from the lobby area.

Breakfast should be served till 11.30. I wasn't happy about this cause I missed out on my breakfast on one of my days.

Very clean and spacious room. Self service buffet breakfast. More than enough choices. Very close to city centre. Have stayed 3 times before and will definitely be back.

Hotel room window never shut fully due to window cill being damaged by damp, whole room was smelling musty also due to dampness. Never eat in hotel so can't comment on food. Staff where ok. Location was good.

Great leisure center

The food was excellent and not too expensive.

Spacious family room. Lighting was limited in main room. Very central location, in old part of Cork with a short walk across the bridge into the main area of the city.
