This hotel is by far and away the best hotel that my girlfriend and I have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left, the staff were amazing; very attentive and extremely helpful. They booked restaurants for us, came armed with multiple bulbs when one went out in our room and were always able to help with any of our queries. The room itself was simply stunning! A king size bed, gigantic bath, beautifully decorated, well equipped...I could go on and on! Everything was done to the highest standard. Often we don't spend much time in our hotel room when on holiday as we like to do as much as possible but here we were more than happy to spend time in the hotel because it was just so nice and homely. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Charles Bridge and approximately 10-15 minutes from the old town. If walking isn't your thing then there's a tram stop a minute from the hotel which I think takes you to the old town. If you are going to Prague, this is the hotel you HAVE to stay in!
We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in November. A few other relatives stayed there at the same time, and we noticed a variety in the size and layout of our rooms. However, we all were happy with the hotel in the end. Staff was always friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed spending time in the lobby - using wireless internet and relaxing. The location is fabulous - easy walk to any of the major tourist attractions. Hotel drivers were great. We apprecited having the restaurant there. We felt like a la carte breakfast was a much better value than the buffet. We'd recommend this hotel to others visitng Prague.
What can I say? It started all wrong with a reservation issue. BUT the response from the staff exceeded our expectations. We got upgraded to a wonderful suite, a large, well-furnished and quiet one. IMO this IMO is the response I would expect from a 5-star hotel. Location is very convenient, at the very right center of the historical main visit points. It is a small hotel, which means few people, quietness, a place where you can feel comfortable. This was a real review from a couple of Swiss travellers from around Lausanne.
I have leg problems and difficulties with stairs. Before booking here, I was told that the hotel had an elevator. I assumed that this meant that all rooms were accessible via elevator, but they in fact have a few rooms that are only accessible by stairs. When I arrived and discovered this, the hotel was gracious enough to move me to another room and upgraded me to a suite. I appreciated that they reacted instantly to the situation and accomodated my restrictions without any hesitation.
Everything ok. Only this: The staff didn't hold back our booked tour - we were 2 minutes late!!! Also, there is no international Newspaper, as a matter of fact, there is absolutely no Newspaper. Not cool for this category of Hotel.
We stayed for the last couple of nights of our honeymoon. Wonderful suite, excellent amenities, and beautiful views of the Charles Bridge. Would skip the overpriced breakfast, however.
First of all, the kindness of the staff was endless. We had to ask no questions when we arrived of left- all was clear even the information about all the attractions and most beautiful sites in town. The staff made all the efforts to make our staying as much as comfortable as possible- always with a smile. The hotel is lovely - designed in great taste, very romantic, the bed was very comfortable and we had anything we want in the minibar even an espresso machine!!! The hotel is located very close to center of city - it is watching to the river and 3 minutes away from the Charles bridge, the "mini Eiffel tower" and an endless amount of fine restaurants. To sum up, we have no complaints what so ever- all was perfect and highly recommended.
An excellent hotel, very professional staff, beautiful buildings, quiet & calm, the Pachtuv Palace is just two minutes walk from Charles Bridge, the best location in Prague. Don't stay anywhere else!
The hotel is in a fantastic location. When we arrived, they had no more "standard" rooms, so we were upgraded to a suite with river views; Absolutely amazing!!! The service throughout was fantastic. I would definately stay here again and I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Prague.
We had an extremely nice stay at your excellent hotel. Our suite was fantastic and had all the amenities one could ask for.
Fantastic Hotel, excellent staff with fantastic attitudes. Very willing to help. Room decor excellent and classic. Highly recommended.
All boxes were ticked here. Would come back anytime.
Excellent location, friendly staff, very helpful and superb rooms. Exceeded expectations.
The 'Palace' talks itself up...and well it might. Great location for dawn raids on Charle's Bridge, yet somehow also out of the hustle enough to offer some slightly off-beaten-track restaurants/bars. Quality establishment, and quality service - something we'd just about given up on (the iced water provided on arrival as we signed in was quite a treat). Almost fell in love with the friendly guy at the desk (and I'm a bloke! ;).
What a delightful Hotel. Top class with service to match. Highly recommended.
Excellent room! Very friendly and helpful staff and a great location. The only thing that could be criticised is the breakfast which was a little over-priced for what it provided. Overall though we highly recommend the Pactuv Palace.
