"We really enjoyed being here. We got 2 budget rooms. The boys were delighted having their own room, and it was right next to ours so we could keep an ear out. There were a couple of little administrative stuff-ups, but they were sorted out quite easily as I had the confirmation documentation with me. The views from the rooms over the lake and snow-capped mountains were absolutely incredible- there was a light fall of snow the night we stayed. We ate in the pub next door and the food was wonderful (and sooo convenient). The beds were soft, the sheets lovely, and we slept very comfortably." - sylvia chapman

Located 15 minutes drive from Te Anau, Manapouri Lakeview Motor Inn overlooks beautiful Lake Manapouri, the departure point for Doubtful Sound Trips.

Our 55 rooms all with lakeview are mostly studio units, we have 4 family units. We have a bar, bottlestore and cafe which specialises in local cusine. Our friendly staff are trained agents to book all local sightseeing trips. We have ample overnight parking. We are locally owned and operated.

Getting there:

Invercargill: 2 hours drive on the Southern Scenic Route.
Te Anau: 15 minutes drive
Queenstown: 2 hours Drive

More suitable for self drive holidays. Transport options are limited. Topline Tours and Tracknet of Te Anau do shuttle services on request. The Scenic Shuttle of Te Anau runs daily through Manapouri to and from Invercargill.

Manapouri Motor Inn overlooks the lake, 68 Cathedral Drive.

Check in is 2pm, if arriving earlier we can store your luggage for you. Please see Reception.

We have ample off street parking. No charges for overnight parking (if leaving the car whilst on overnight trips).
