Manapouri Lakeview Motor Inn Te Anau

I say the service is bad because when we booked in they put us in a small room that had a double and 2 single beds (only 2 of us) .The room was up the back, as they were not fully booked i asked for a front room,which they changed for us. I wonder why they didn"t give us this room when first booked in. The room was great as was larger and had the lake in front. The breakfast in the dining room was great, and very well priced.

We really enjoyed being here. We got 2 budget rooms. The boys were delighted having their own room, and it was right next to ours so we could keep an ear out. There were a couple of little administrative stuff-ups, but they were sorted out quite easily as I had the confirmation documentation with me. The views from the rooms over the lake and snow-capped mountains were absolutely incredible- there was a light fall of snow the night we stayed. We ate in the pub next door and the food was wonderful (and sooo convenient). The beds were soft, the sheets lovely, and we slept very comfortably.

Excellent meals for quality and price at hotel next to Lake Manapouri Motel.

Old style motel,need renovations. But very friendly staff and fastastic view of the lake.

A lot of 'things' and dust under beds. Sanitary facilities was clean. Room interior and common kitchen as well as 'tv-room' was very worn. Noisy 'pump' or motor was going on and of during the night to prevent sleep. Avaible Internet access was a joke but costed 'full' price. The staff was helpfull and friendly. The location in excelent, unbeatable, awesome... Pricing - do not know what to expect, but ting it was to high compared to the standard.

This is a basic hotel room with very retro (original completely unrenovated 60's) decor throughout. However it seemed clean enough. Don't expect even a tv in the room, however every room faces towards the lake which is quite a nice view. Also note that its about 20 mins drive from Te Anau.
