Manathai Resort Phuket

Manathai is a wonderful place for a break. Pay the extra for a private pool room. The location is very lay back. Have your meals right on the beach, enjoy a 90B cocktail for happy hour, lounge on the deck chair - relax. Do Patong Beach later - see phuket as it should be first

Absolutely stunning hotel and perfect location. I had friends staying nearby at a large resort and they were very jealous of us staying at Manathai, it is a refined, beautifully designed hotel. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The restaurant did not disappoint. The only issues we had were with the dreadful smell of drains a couple of times in the bathroom, but in retrospect this seems to be a common issue in Phuket. I plan to stay at Manathai again as soon as I get the chance.

Very charming Hotel, in a good location, the kind of boutique hotel you enjoy to stay as decoration and architecture are so appreciable. Worth to come back!

Nice hotel conveniently located for Surin Beach. The pool room we stayed in was in appearance very nice, but there were a few too many flies and other bugs in the bathroom. The private pool was a good addition but there was a regular audience from an overlooking noisy building site which did not really help matters.

Probably the styliest place I've ever visited. We also had dinner in the restaurant one night and this had the same class. Surin beach is very ok too chill for couple of days, but the surroundings do not offer too much. Definetly not recommended for singles. Staff very young and most of them do not speak very good English. All very helpful though.

We booked a pool villa for 3 nights and have a 15 months old baby so we reserved a baby cot. Upon our late arrival the hotel told us that they did not have one available. They offered us a roll-in bed instead but of course that did not work. In the end we turned around the sofa in the room and asked for extra bed-linnen which took forever to bring and no apologies were made during our entire stay. Our friends who arrived around 4pm had to wait 1,5 hour before their room was ready. The 'pool' was a tiny little lap pool and on our terrace was only 1 sunbed, no parasol no table. Construction work all around the hotel. The room itself was nicely decorated and all amenities were available. Food was nice, however breakfast was average and staff not very smiley or friendly. Unfortunately all of us became ill with a stomach bug. The beach club was very disappointing. Not at all a reflection of the hotel. Old sunbeds and wornout parasols. Overall a disappointing experience. We will not return.

Great place to stay, relaxed beautifully presented at all levels, attention to detail in interor decorating as well as pool area makes you feel that you are really somewhere special. If you can, stay in the pool villa suite for something special. Enjoy a Singapore sling during happy hour by the pool, drinks are very expensive here. Need to hire a car if you stay at Surin beach, great places to eat on the beach front at Surin, try The terrace it's very reasonably priced and good food. Higly recommend Manathai and would stay there again.
