Mandeville Hotel London Guest Reviews

Really nice great location and the staff was extremely helpful and very nice. We would easily go back again. Rooms are on the smaller size but that is to be expected. Again the staff in every phase was outstanding. Loved it!

This hotel located in the heart of London is the best hotel I have ever visited in Great Britain. Definitely I will visit again.

I booked 8 days with Mandeville and was greeted upon entry, every entry, assisted with bags, bookings of tours, taxis, directions, etc. Restaurant and bar are open to guests with great room service available as well. Room was prepped for my requests and room was cleaned daily with restock of fresh towels, lotions, vanity kit, soaps, etc. Only complaint was that there was no mini fridge or ice machine on premises but I would and will stay at Mandeville again. The location and service is optimal.

This hotel was located in an excellent location. It is close to a great quaint shopping area called St. Christopher's place as well as a short distance from many major attractions: Oxford street, Soho, Carnaby Street, Regent St. A bit longer walk will take you to Hyde Park, the West End, Covent Garden, Picadilly Circus, etc . . . The hotel was a four star hotel, but had no gym, no spa, and just didn't feel luxurious. It is a bit small, and perhaps I felt this way because we were put in a handicapped room even though we booked months in advance and stayed 5 nights. My suspicion is that because we got such a steal on the nightly rate, we were given a lower quality room. The staff in the lobby sometimes had conversations they probably shouldn't have had in front of guests. Overall, this was a nice place, but it didn't blow me away. I hear they have a nice afternoon tea service, but we passed this time.

Mandeville was a diamond in the rough. Third trip to London in 3 months and this hotel is in best location of three. Very close to shopping, good museum a block away and central to a cluster of restaurants. Carlos is terrific concierge extremely helpful and Javier at front desk very friendly - all nice people willing to help and with smiles.

The Mandeville Hotel is perfectly situated in Mayfair on the West End for touring, theater, shopping, strolling and moreover resting: nice and quiet at night, even on the weekend. Super elegant, friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant inside the venue. Appreciated it as a New Yorker living in downtown Manhattan!

This is an exquisite small hotel, with all of the personal attention that implies. The location is perfect - 1/2 block from the shops and food of all price levels at St. Christopher Place, walking distance to Regents Park and so much more. A block and a half past shopping to the Bond Street Tube station. We are an older couple and slow walkers, but we found this location to be perfect all around. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous hotel in a wonderfully convenient neighborhood just round the corner from great shopping, Oxford Circus, and endless options for food and drink. This was my first trip to London, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating or better ambassadors for the city. It's certainly worth a few extra bucks a night for this lovely hotel with an incredibly attentive and skilled staff.

Overall a very nice experience, the staff were very helpful, for the price they should have included breakfast,as many other european hotels do. The location is great, close to the metro, and this area has many nice restauants and stores.Taxi's were always at the hotel door.

The Mandeville Hotel, just a short distance from Paddington Station, was a fantastic place to stay on my recent trip to London. The hotel was clean, the room was a nicely decorated and of typical size for Europe, the staff were friendly (though the concierge wasn't particularly helpful), and the location as great. It is about a 5 minute walk to the Underground (Bond Street stop) which enables one to get to most points within the city with at most 1 subway transfer. The hotel itself is setback about a block from Oxford Street and on a residential street, which was nice because there was very little street noise. It was also adjacent to St. Christophers Square which had multiple restaurants, pubs, and cafes. For those who like to go out at night, the hotel is about 2 Underground stops (same line) to SoHo/West End where there are many nightspots and theaters. Overall, the Mandeville is a great option for a vacation to London.

Excellent hotel, fabulous location, lovely design, very clean and comfortable and very friendly, courteous, helpful staff. A real gem. Only facility I would have liked would have been a jug and tea/coffee in the room otherwise superior service.

Very good location behind Oxford Street but disappointing in other ways. The room was not ready and I was left standing waiting even though we arrived after check in time. This made me furious after a long journey. I was pointed to the bar but no service or complimentary beverage. No complimentary parking. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room (health and safety apparently!) and we asked about taxis and were told no need to order as they were 'always there'. When we wanted a taxi to take us to the Dorchester there was 'not much chance of a taxi within the next 30 mins'. Although the Concierge was most helpful - a credit to this impersonal hotel.

The hotel was really nice and the staff were really nice too. Only little recommendation was that the tv was a bit too far away from the bed. Also it would have been nice to have a daily refill of used showers products.
