Manhattan Hotel Bangkok

Would help if reception staff spoke or had a better grasp of English

After booking the hotel i read some nightmare reviews but i was on a budget and didn't have a huge choice. I was there for 2 days, one night and needed somewhere to get my haed down and next to my friends who were 5 staring it in a suite in a hotel seconds down the road! The hotel was fine for what i was looking for. Had kettle, mini bar, safe which could also hold a laptop. Only downfall was the windows were filthy. So much so you couldn't see out. They are building a 5 star hotel opposite and it was hard to even see the construction! I didn't use the facilities or have breakfast but I would use the hotel again as it was in a great location and good price!

The hotel is very well located and close to train stations, street market stalls, a 24 hours McDonalds and the supermarket underneath the McDonalds. McDonalds is great in case you need a place to grab a quick bite but dont know the place well enough. But back to the hotel. I guess you get what you pay for. Friendly staff. Large room. Large CRT tv with many stations. But you can tell the place is old, like many hotels, they seem to like having dimly lit rooms, and I saw small cochroaches on the walls every day (I was on level 5- reasonably high). There are signs sayign they are renovating, so it's possible my review will not be valid in the next 1-2 years. I hope so. I honestly dont think I will stay there again. I'll probably pay a bit more for one of the many newer boutique style hotels, like Dream or s15, both of which are just 100m away from Manhattan.

The hotel is located a convenience location.Near BTS train station, shooping centre&market. The staff also vey nice and helpful.

in general very good hotel to the money you pay the only thing i advice the management to find asolution to the insect in the room other wise every thing is good.

We stayed there for three days. The hotel as well as the rooms were a bit worn down. They were refurbishing at the time, so a bit noisy. Except from that, friendly and efficient service, very good location and the breakfast buffet was good.

a v pleasant stay, spacious, quiet and cheap. near bts and mrt line, so its convenient to go anywhere

A very reliable Hotel, always good service, very friendly staff, decent breakfast and good location. Have stayed a few times and would recomend it.

We have stayed here many times and it is always welcoming. A good standard and great staff. A haven in Bangkok.

The location is great for Manhattan, right off of Sukhumvit road in Soi 15. Very convenient. Staff was helpful. Included buffet breakfast was good, but same menu every day, so that got a little boring, but still good. The Taxi Valet was not helpful; only caring about how to make money themselves for the hotel. When I asked about how to get to a certain place, they would not tell me where it was, but offered to take me there with a hotel taxi with their usual (high) service fee. This happened more than once. If I declined and needed a regular taxi, they would not even call a taxi for me. I had to get the taxi myself and haul my bags into the taxi myself. There is wireless internet access too, but on a prepaid account, which is standard for most budget hotels there. Besides that and the taxi valet, I liked the hotel very much for its very convenient location and convenient breakfast. I would stay here again when coming back to Bangkok!

The location is ok as it is on the aerial skytrain route. The area around Sukumvit Road is very busy if that is what you are looking for. The hotel is excellent. The breakfast buffet is excellent. I think the price is getting a bit high for Bangkok. It seems very busy so book ahead.

Not a bad hotel. Breakfast marginal. No better than some others in same price range, less value than some.

Great location for all public transport, adequate facilities, decent breakfasts and restaurant food. Bathrooms need a deep clean above the height of the cleaner's reach - very grimy! Have stayed 2 times and will book again.

This hotel has a great location just off Sukhumwit Road. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are very pleasant. Overall, great value for money. I will definitely stay there again.

This was the best budget hotel I have stayed in..service was great..staff very helpful...breakfast buffet was really nice....can't say enough good things about this one...it is a real budget find......would highly recommend...
