Manofa Hotel Amsterdam Guest Reviews

3.6 out of 5

The location for the hotel was fantastic. I had to put up with other guests who were smoking pot and playing metal music at 3am in the morning. That was not the hotel's fault though. Its priced cheaply and may not attract all the right crowd. If its just a bed you are looking for and you spend the rest of the day outside, do consider it for its location.

Nice hotel in the heart of Amsterdam, not expensive, but you get what you pay for... What sets it apart is the friendliness of the people at the reception desk. Warmly recommended for travellers on a budget.

I stayed in a twin room with a bunk bed. It was something more like staying in a youth hostel than in a hotel. Beds were clean, though, facilities in the corridor got pretty used quickly.

the 1st room we were put in was very noisy because the stairs was just above it {no.110} we were able to move next day to a better room which we were very gratful for. The resturant for breakfast wasent great but over all we had a good stay and found the staff very pleasant.

Small but adequate rooms, a bit noisy because of the great location for the Dam and Red Light. Breakfast could be better, or an upgrade to the breakfast they sell offered.

It is quite clear that the administration is trying their best to improve the hotels rating, but it is obviously hard to achive with a hotel as worn down as the Manofa. Still, the night-time reception is the friendliest I've ever come across, and if your on a budget, Manofa is the hotel you want.

After hearing some terrible reports on the internet about Manofa Hotel I was a liitle apprehensive but I'll assure you IT'S FINE! I stayed ina budget room and it was a little noisy but was cleaned spotless every day, the telly worked and I have no horror stories. Great central place to stay if you're visiting Amsterdam for a few days and want a place to sleep. If you want to spend time swanning about in a hotel perhaps this is no the place for you though.

The rooms are very small and the heating in the room I was staying in wouldn't switch off. The staff were polite and helpful.

This hotel is basically what you would expect for a 2 star hotel. The room & bathroom were basic but clean. The location was brilliant right on Dam Square. The stairs to the rooms are very narrow & there are no lifts in the hotel. We were in Amsterdam for a weekend and this hotel was perfect for us.Close to all the sights, restaurants, shops, station and within our budget.Breakfast was included in the rate as well.I would stay in this hotel again.

Great location and excellent staff. The room was a little cramped but quite adequate. The bathroom was very small with virtually no ventilation.

Centrally located, room still available when I checked in at 2200. Clean, very good value for money. Reception staff very helpful on places to go and things to see, room basic but clean. In summary, all that one needs of a good value hotel to lay ones weary head after a night of fun. I will stay here again.

The location of this hotel is outstanding. Central, and in the middle of many tourist activities and sites of interest, and near train transportation to the airport. A great place just to walk around or arrange tours of the area. We had a room with a great view of the street and considerable activity below.

This was a great place to stay as it's on the main street of Amsterdam and two blocks from the train station. The only let down were all the stairs but the people who work there do help you to get your bags to the room... The staff were pleasant and could understand English but in Amsterdam most people do speak english....

I had a great stay at Manofa. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. After travelling for 5 weeks, it was a welcome pleasure to receive such hospitality. I will stay there again. Thanks!

Facilities very basic, clean; small rooms; from what I understand of the area and saw of other properties, this was normal by comparison. Location is good; near Central Station & Red Light; restaurants & sandwich shops nearby. Damrak is kind of noisy, but actually quiets down by midnight. Be aware of the stairways tho if you're troubled by heights/vertigo or bad knees! They are more like ladders & twist around. This appears to be very much the norm in the buildings everywhere in this city tho!
