Mantra Esplanade Cairns

Great location on the Esplanade; very helpful Front Desk staff; well appointed rooms which are only serviced for stays of more than 8 days which was is acceptable [regular servicing available for a fee]. More of an Apartment building than hotel - this suited us fine. The pool area was in the shade for stay [late July] but the Esplanade lagoon is opposite. Would stay here again.

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. We arrived early in the morning and the lady on the desk was very happy to look after our luggage until check-in time. The check in was quick and the staff were very friendly. We had booked 5 hotel rooms and all rooms were upgraded to one bedroom apartments which was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were spotless and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. There was a TV in the lounge room and a smaller one in the bedroom. The location was excellent.

Absolutely superb location for us. Everything within walking distance, supermarket across the road, Esplanade Lagoon right in front, 3 minutes walking distance to the Reef Fleet Terminal where the Great Barrier Reef tours depart, 3 minutes walking distance to the pier restaurants, harbour, etc. Great service. Will definitely stay again if we ever return to Cairns.

We booked a 2br unit and got a dual occupancy which was fantastic for 2 singles. Location is excellent right on the Esplanande but also very quiet. Free parking too. Would stay again and recommend this hotel.

Extremely please with our hotel room with a balcony. Being a hotel room they are usually very tiny this one wasn't it had plenty of room and a great view of the harbour. Would stay there again it was a fabulous location straight out into the shops.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Mantra Esplanade and would recommend it. We had a 2 bedroom which gave us lots of room. The hotel was located on the esplanade, across from the lagoon and the location for booking/boarding activities. The hotel booked a couple of the activities for us, greeted us by name every day and answered all of our questions. The apartment was upscale and had everything we needed to prepare breakfast and pack lunches. It is also situated close to restaurants and a grocery store. I would look for a Mantra accommodation for our next vacation.

Location was excellent, nice and close to the marina. We were a little disappointed as there were constantly ants in the bathroom, on the bedside tables and the bed itself. We mentioned this to the staff but they reported it normal due to the tropical weather and did not offer to do anything about it. We did not have this problem with the other places we stayed at in the same area afterwards. Also, the staff was not very knowledgeable nor helpful about how to get to places (such as where to catch a bus to Palm Cove) which was also a little disappointing.

I am a Cairns local and stayed at this Hotel on New Year Eve, everything was fantastic except for the parking, with some many locals staying it was a problem, not enough spaces. But location etc is great.

We had booked a double room - but were given an upgrade to a 1bed apartment with full kitchen and laundry- not sure how that came about - but it was nice - Very central hotel - plenty of close cafes etc for meals and cheap breakfasts.

Rooms are not serviced if stay is for four nights or less. A service is available for $24 if asked for. Although a full service did not worry us that much we thought that for $200 pr night the offer of additional coffee, tea and milk should be available when required.

Stayed in the 1 br apartment. Can't beat the location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

It was the best location - right in the centre of The Esplanade and main hub of the city, and restaurants/cafes at our front door. Only struck 1 night staff member that was a little rude and couldn't be bothered to assist us. All the other staff were fantastic. Great facilities. Exquisite little Parisian style Hotel cafe, Chocolat.

This is a good location as is close to marina ,waterfront swimming pools,& nice restaurants. Will definately be back. Debbi Perth

Great location in the centre of Cairns near everything. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are nothing extraordinary but quite clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay in one of the self-contained 2 bedroom appartments on the 6th floor which gave us superb views of Cairns harbour. All amenities were excellent and could not be faulted. The restaurant in the Courthouse behind the hotel provided extremely good meals at a very reasonable price.

I really enjoyed Cairns Resort by Outrigger. The facilities were excellent and the customer service was outstanding. Debbie did an excellent job when dealing with me. On one occasion I was booking a couple of tours through her and an elderly gentleman was waiting beside me and Debbie asked if I minded if she told him she'd be right with him.....she went one better and called someone in the back to come out and help him right away. A great place to visit.
