Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel - it got off to a very good start with a great team on reception that helped us out when we arrived earlier than our check-in time. Very good location - we'd paid extra for a sea view, which probably was a bit of a waste due to the trees at the front which obscured it at 3rd floor level. Room was very clean and had all that we needed in it. Good quality buffet breakfast, though we did experience some huffiness from one member of staff for arriving 10 minutes before it closed. We would stay here again the next time we visit Darwin.

Very unorganised front desk,& had to keep moving rooms because of stuffups,we ended up in an apartment (dont go smaller) the room was nice ,the shower screen needed contant repairs ,& room not serviced which I found unusual

Good check in service however in a hot climate like Darwin a cool drink of water would have been nice The room cleanliness was poor but the location, the view and the facilties were great, except when the chair i was sitting on broke and when i asked for a replacement none came Oh take your own toilet paper too as they dont supply extra tickets unless you hassle them, service was nice when you got it but it wasnt very available and the cafe staff too seemed to be hard to find

Excellent location close to tour bus terminal. Showing its age and in need of renovation-eg 3panel shower screen door kept breaking down. No directory about the hotel even on TV. Extra cost for parking an irritant

My experience @ Mantra On The Esplanade Darwin has been one that would bring back sweet memories to come. Being on a short weekend trip to Darwin for R&R, my girlfriend and I chose to stay @ the Mantra because of the good location, where it is 1 min away from the main street, Michelle Street, and the fantastic view it has to offer. The staff were really friendly during our stay, helping us from setting up the internet service to keeping our baggage after we checked out. The room service was plentiful and reasonably priced. For a lazy morning like we had, it was definitely a treat to behold! :) Mantra on the Esplanade is definitely my choice should I ever go Darwin again. Cheers.

Excellent value for money. Laundry facilities provided really appreciated.

The staff were friendly and the room was lovely, although smaller than expected. It was "typical" Darwin hotel in that there was a charge for extra's eg. $12.00 to park your car undercover in a non secure carpark when in the road there is no charge, $4.00 per room service order. We did not use any of these services and felt the charges were a "rip off". Despite this we had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed watching Darwin Harbour from our room.

Hotel is very nice. Buffet breakfast was very ordinary, which I find is normal for most hotels. If they're charging $26 you'd think they'd have an egg chef at least.

Highly expensive.considering what is being paid for some of the bar items should be free

Very helpful staff.

Fire alarm went off at 1am which is not much fun with a 2 year old. A local told us it happens often at this hotel... It served us well for a convenient apartment in the centre of town. The apartment doesn't actually have a separate bedroom - the area with the bed is just separated by a folding room divider.

Very nice hotel , I also subsequently booked into the Mantra in Cairns as I i knew if it was anything like the Mantra in Darwin , very very good . Thanks

I had heard that accommodation in Darwin was very average, so I was very pleasantly surprised and delighted with my stay at the Mantra. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and the hotel was well within walking distance to everything I required. Live music in the foyer/lounge area would have been lovely at night.

Prime location, great service and overall a really great hotel to stay

This is the second stay at the hotel and this time I was upgraded to an apartment which was fantastic. I actually used the kitchen facilities and when I returned to clean the kitchen, housekeeping had already completed the cleaning of the kitchen which was unexpected. Will definitely be staying at Mantra again.

The service staff were exceptionally helpful. We had to change rooms during our stay as I had made 2 separate bookings. The staff went out of their way to make this a stress free process. I will definitely stay here again. The location is very good, with easy access to everything but private and quite as well. Ask for an ocean view as the harbour is beautiful.

Staff were excellent, very accommodating

Our room was spacious with a king size bed. The balcony was fantastic, large with a view over the sea, great for entertaining when we had some realatives around. The ensuite was well equipped. There were a couple of maintenance items. The bathroom door would not close and the toilet seat had a faulty pin. We told them at reception when checking out and our concerns were acknowledged. The gentleman who took care of our lugage was especially lovely, greeting us everyday, taking a letter I needed to post, more than efficient, making us feel welcome.
