Getting there:Getting to the hotel from the airport by car. Take the Tullamarine Freeway and follow the signs to the city. Take the Dynon Road /Spencer Street Exit, turn left and follow Spencer Street to La Trobe Street. Turn left into La Trobe Street and follow until you get to Exhibition Street. Turn Left into Exhibition Street and the hotel is on your left. Hotel is a short tram ride along the City Circle tram line to Telstra Dome.
Check-in Procedure:Guest's credit card must be produced at the time of check-in when a pre-authorisation amount of at least $200 will be taken or a $500 cash deposit will be required.
Car parking:Car parking is available next door to the hotel at the daily flat rate of $30 per vehicle. Access to the car park is arranged upon registration or checking in.
Child Policy:Children of 12 years of age and under stay free. Any additional guests are charged at $40.00 per night
spacious, fairly clean, friendly helpful staff. kitchen was not fully equipped though and some items were missing (not enough forks, spoons, bowls, mugs). food at terrace cafe was not that great--quite expensive for what is was, with atrocious coffee bags, minimal breakfast buffet. location cant be beat, and nice to have access to pool and sauna with lots of towels, beautiful views, comfy beds. Not bad overall. Qlso tram stop right outside the door, walking distance to centre.
Lovely hotel, staff were very helpful, close to everything and the free tram got you everywhere else. Was not impressed with room service as they only did minimum service, no fresh towels was one gripe. Pool needed to be open later at night but was very clean.

Very friendly staff, close walk to Melbourne Central, free tram and Lygon Street. The room was very nice ( we got a free upgrade too!) perfect for what we were after, and alot cheaper with better facilities and comfort than other stays at the time of spring carnival
We chose the Mantra On The Park for our stay in Melbourne for as a family the 2 bedroom appartment offered to best value. The Mantra was ideally located on the tram line and was allways a short walk into the city for shopping and eating as well as the Melbourne museum. The room was spacious for our needs , clean and their was the kitchen which was well appointed. Will stay here again.

Changed number in party from 2 to 3, given a 2 bedroom apartment, slight increase in price, but what an apartment. Would stay there again.
Nice and central, only metres from the free city circle tram. nice view, pleasant and helpful staff. large lounge, well equipped kitchen. would stay again.
Perfect spot in the north east of Melbourne cbd. Close to trams, chinatown, Lygon st. Rooms were spacious apartment style. We will definitely stay again.
We were pleasantly surprised at our accommodation. It was a little tired, needed painting, etc. But overall very pleasant
The location of this hotel is perfect. Right near the free tram stops and just down the road from the free bus stop. 2 blocks from woolworths and dan murphys which is very handy - or an expensive IGA on the corner downstairs. The cleaners were a bit hit and miss but on average the place was cleaned well. The mini bar stuff in the fridge was hardly ever used I suspect as it was pretty grotty. Old fridge, dishwasher etc, but still all worked properly. They could have stocked the utensils are bit more but we didn't use much anyway. Not many fox channels or digital channels - thats cos they still have the big box tellys!!! The pool was nice and warm and there were plenty of lounges to use. The price was fairly steep though which would put me off using again. If they had a special then I would use it again as the location was tops.

Managed to get locked out of room due to faulty lock. Staff very helpful in following up. Great location in Melbourne. Have stayed there again.
After many stays over the years at this hotel, i would have to say this time was the most dissapointing. We had 2, two bedrooms apartments. one of those apartments was not that clean. there was paint coming off in some places, electrical wiring exposed and the grouting in the shower was disgusting. would probably stay again as location was good and have not had a problem before, but would think again instead of jumping into it next time.
I recently stayed here with my husband and young family, the 2 bed apartment we stayed in was very spacious and generally clean. Although they could do with an update of some of the facilities, such as the showers, tv's etc. the beds were comfotable, the kitchen provided us with enough equipment to cook basic meals if need be, although the restaurant downstairs provided kids meal free, although the nuggets were a little burnt. Small inconveniences such a the lifts to the car park were a bit of a hassle, and one often not working properly, and $30 a day parking wasn't cheap. But I would definetely stay here again.
Room was clean and comfortable kitchen appliances a little bit dated but I was not there to cook. Hotel was very convenient to all locations . Washer and dryer were great. Would happily stay there again.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. The apartment was roomy enough. The walls and ceilings were in need of a paint and the furniture was a bit shabby. The location is good. The free city circle tram is right out the front and the Carlton Gardens, Melbourne Museum short stroll as is the Queen Vic markets and Lygon Street district. For the price, it was a good stay.
Very happy with our stay and we will come back again. Kids LOVED all the open space in our appartment, great luxury of 2 bathrooms, nice views, quiet, close to HMT. Thank you!

This was our second stay and will be doing it again. The only negative was, we asked for all single beds and one of us had to sleep on fold-out-sofa. Not the best for "late fifties" women ! As for location & service we were pleased once more.
The TV was not in very good condition with regard to the volume and picture. Apart from that we had a great stay.
