Mantra Sun City Gold Coast

The pool and slides make this place stand out. We stayed in a hotel room and was aware of alot of door slamming from other rooms. The breakfast was excellent. Quite a walk from the main drag of Surfers. The room was very clean.

A very pleasant surprise that you should have these units on as a special. Great value. Better space than most similar units.

The room is big enough, and ocean view was wonderful! Location is bit far from centre but still can walk. it would be perfect place if you rent a car. As we visit there in winter, we did not use pool facility. but must be nice for people who have kids.

We were very happy with the Sun City. The apartments were large the pools great, and the rooms were maintained well. As i read through some reviews before i booked i noticed that some people complained about the big pool being cold , but we found it fine although we were there in Nov. Also some people complained about the hotel/rooms looking a bit run down, but we didnt find this at all,was all good, some people i guess expect perfection. We do alot of travelling, and we thought the standard was great. Would stay again for sure

The Sun City Mantra has great facilities, and the rooms were well appointed and very clean. Fantastic and friendly service from all the staff we encountered, even those we shared random lift rides with. Location is great for the beach, but there is not much in the way of shops in the area, although the Cavill Avenue precinct is only a 10-15 minute walk away. This relative isolation from the action can be a blessing as the area is very quiet at night. Having room service in an apartment style complex is great, especially with young kids who are tired from a day at the theme parks. Food quality was up and down (great burgers), but the pizza's were somehow burnt black about an inch in on the outside rim and yet a soggy inedible mush in the middle. Buffet breakfast was fantastic (and good value), with all the standard options, and some daily variations. Outstanding lagoon style pool with water slides for the kids, hidden spa and pool, away from the main area and indoor heated pool and spa.

The room though clean and well appointed disappointed, being a small "B" annexe room or second bedroom to another hotel room and did not meet size expectation. Over all with a breakfast inclusion was well priced overall adequate for short term stay. Excellent views to the Hinterland. On a future occasion would look at alternatives

Rooms were very spacious and good view as well. Walking distance to shops and transport.

we stayed on a resonabley quiet saturday night and for a 35 floor resort to give us a 3rd floor room with a view of construction work in progress, i felt that they could have done better, breakfast was so, so, nothing to want to go back for. so overall ...ordinary.

A lovely 1 bedroom apartment, well maintained and very clean. Hotel staff were very helpful. Only negative was in the restaurant. My pre dinner drink arrived when I was almost finished our meal, along with our wine which was not what we had requested. staff did apologise for this. We have stayed here before and wouls do so again.

OK location but the rooms and hotel are very tired. Good breakfast and facilities.

This hotel was quite comfortable and excellent value for money, especially for families. The buffet breakfast is excellent (love the pancake maker) the facilities are great (plently of pools and spas plus waterslides for the kids). Plus parking is free. If you don't mind a couple of little quirks (eg funny smells in the corridors from people cooking in serviced apartments) then this hotel is perfect. Staff were very helpful and professional.

There were no services provided by any staff. We paid almost $2000.00 for 8 days and we felt getting sugar etc from reception that staff were losing an arm or leg. The room was scheduled for a clean once during our stay and was done very pooly. They did not even vaccum our room nor did they wipe down anything either. I would have preffered a much better service for the money!

Really enjoyed our stay, which was especially good value with the buffet breakfast included in the deal which was excellent. The hotel was approx 15 minutes walk to Cavill Mall in the heart of Surfers but was enjoyable walking next to the beach and good exercise. Will definitely consider staying there again in the future.

I was very disappointed with the restaurant and the food.

Easy to access to everywhere around Surfer Paradise even by walking. Shops and beach is so close.

Received an upgrade and was on the 31st floor which provided the most amazing view! the room was outstanding and of grande surroundings
