Marcella Royal Hotel Rome

This was a pretty ordinary hotel. The receptionist was chaotic and a little rude but the rest of the staff were fine. Room and breakfast were acceptable and the location was good.

Excellent, quiet location in the embassy district. Excellent rooms and spectacular rooftop breakfast area.

Friendly staff, helpful with directions, accomodating when possible. Nice breakfast spread and great roof garden for drinks, dinner and breakfast.

Fantastic stay! Beautiful hotel and elegant rooms! First class in my book! Highly reccomended!

Marcello Royal Hotel Rome was in an excellent location where while it was far enough away from the central hub to provide quiet rooms, it was close enough to walk to all attractions. The hotel staff were professional & helpful & the superior standard room I had was clean, roomy & comfortable. Friends in the standard room next door however were very cramped which considering the high price of the accomodation I feel was not good value for money.

I was sattisfied with the hotel and the service was very good.

Excellent Hotel, helpful and friendly staff, several good value local restaurants, main tourist sites within walking distance or a short bus ride.

Service was excellent. Bathroom was tiny and shower curtain did not stop water from going all over the bathroom floor. Sunday mronign breakfast - pastries were gone by 9.30 and were no longer available.

We really enjoyed our stay at this little boutique hotel. Alessandro was particularly helpful to us in giving directions and just being very pleasant. Rooms are very nice, quiet and the roof terrace is lovely for an afternoon glass of wine. Breakfast was one of the best of our trip. A slight drawback is the location. It is quite a long walk from Piazza Navona and the Coliseum/ Forum end of town, not that convenient if you wish to go back to the hotel in the mid-day. Otherwise, great.

Good in general! Not too far from Termini station (10 min walk -or 6Euros by taxi). Good breakfast. Great view from the roof, but just take a drink there, you could eat better and cheaper elsewhere. Two cons : one the sound insulation of the rooms is bad; u will even hear the electrical switch of the next room on and off, two the shower is directly on the bath floor even if the drainage is good the whole floor will get wet and the synthetic curtain will unpleasantly stick on your body while taking a shower.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms small but very clean similar to all Roman hotels in the city centre. Reception staff have good english and are very efficient. Hotel is ideally situated and within easy reach of Termini station and 20 mins walk from Trevi fountain. All hotels are relatively expensive especially in city centre. Continental breakfast is served in roof top restaurant not a very large choice but adequate. Overall I would recommend Marcella Royal but 4 star hotels in Ireland are not equivalent to Rome they have much lower standards there.

I found that one of the lady staff at reception as very rude. On the otherhand, the gentlemen on reception were very helpful. My room was tiny and I found the air-conditioning too cold and difficult to operate. I would not stay there again

Wonderful staff really make this hotel. The location is perfect with Rome's best restaurants a short walk away.

Although the hotel was pleasant we feel a 3 star rating would be a more accurate classification rather than 4 star as advertised.

Enjoyed my stay at the Marcella, staff were very helpful and accommodating. The view from the terrace though did not quite resemble that of the pictures, but a lovely hotel none the less.

I stayed in the Marcella Royal with my wife for 3 nights June 2007. I was very impressed overall with the standard of service and cleanliness. It is conveniently near transport links and many tourist attractions. But the biggest bonus was the rooftop breakfast room, most hotels it is in a windowless basement, and the rooftop piano bar in the evening

Excellent hotel with superb rooftop garden bar and breakfast room, with a great view over Rome. The staff were excelent and very friendly. The room was spotless and the breakfast buffet was superb. I would definately stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Very well run hotel, friendly and helpful staff. A little away from the central attractions, but walkable nonetheless. High levels of service and cleanliness. Roof top restaurant adds to the ambience of the hotel, having breakfast over looking the Rome skyline is rather nice. Room was a little small compared with other european 4 star hotels, but more than adequate. Room stocks replenished daily and mini bar prices fair. All in all a great hotel that I would definately use again
