Marco Polo Motor Inn offers budget 3 1/2 star accommodation conveniently located half way between Sydney City CBD and Olympic Park at Homebush (the site of the 2000 Olympic Games and Telstra Stadium) which is 6 kms in each direction. A few minutes away and you will find several of Sydney's most famous suburban shopping centres- Leichhardt, a centre of Italian cafes, restaurants and boutiques; Ashfield, known for its Szechuan Chinese Cruisine; and Marrickville, with its Greek Lebanese communities. Each centre also has a large shopping mall.

Getting there:We are situated near the corner of Parramatta Road and Sloane Street, Summer Hill. From the city we are 6kms on the left hand side just past Leichhardt. We are just past Dover Street, Summer Hill before you reach Sloane Street. We are 11kms from the Airport. A taxi fare is approximately $22-$27. Alternatively take the train to Central Railway Station and then a train to Summer Hill Railway Station. We are 400 metres from the train station. Walk to Parramatta Road down Sloane Street, turn right into Parramatta Road and we are one building from the corner.
Check-in Procedure:Check in is any time 24 hours a day. We are happy to greet you any time. Should you require a later check out time please discuss this with Reception on arrival. Charges may apply depending on how late check out is.
Car parking:Free undercover off street parking is available for all rooms. You may arrange to park your car at the motel all day long without charge and enjoy the sights of Sydney by public transport. Parking has a 2.4 metre clearance.
Child Policy:Rates are for 2 people. A maximum of 5 guests can be accommodated at an additional charge of AU$10.00 per person per night. Cots are free of charge (subject to availability).
This is an excellent modest motel that is close to public transport both trains and buses and a very short drive to the middle of the city. It is cheap and secure and the staff are delightful. It is very modest but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. decent fridge and microwave. Suits my needs perfectly.
Located on a main artery road out of or into Sydney, it was easy to find. Service was friendly and efficient. Room is old fashioned, but very clean and had everything you need for a nights rest. The bed was very very comfortable. Bathroom was small and had a strange shower arrangement, but once again clean and everything worked. The only thing I didnt like was the tiled floor instead of carpet, but thats a personal preference. Good value for money.

Loved the security parking. Did not like the frosted glass panel over the door which let too much light in from outside.
Very friendly, great service, no troubles at all, view wasn't great from the room window but everything else prefect. Well recomended.

Perfect position for quick city access but not in the city, secure building, secure parking and free wireless.

We found Marco Polo Motor Inn to be very central to our needs during our recent trip to Sydney. The people in reception were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, fresh and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay there again in the future.
Quite a dingy little motel with narrow parking spaces and loads of noise coming from Parramatta Road at night. Close to the city. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
The owners / staff were lovely - but the outdated decor really let the place down. Reasonable value for money though.
Comfortable, clean room, pleasant staff and cosy atmosphere. Would like to stay at Marco Polo Inn next time when will be in Sydney.
Very friendly service and exactly what I expected. There was a problem with my booking that may have come from internet end of things but the staff righted it quickly and efficiently. I'll be back.

Ideally suited for travel into the city without your car via railway although the rail system is not to good during the weekend (track work, which means you go by bus with mixed results) But the service at the motel is exemplary.
Limited parking on-site
The room was clean and well equipped. Upon arrival we wree greeted in a friendly manner and were not kept waiting. The gentleman in reception was helpful and pleasant. The hotel is situated a short walk from the railway station which enabled us to get to the city very easily. I consider this hotel to be great value for money.
