I was extremely happy with my choice of hotel. Nice location away from the hectic centre and close to the mountains. From the hotel, you can walk up to Tops or ride a bike. I hired a good mountain bike through the hotel. The hotel pool is really nice, perfect for an early evening swim when it's lit up and live music begins. Don't bother with the hotel tours though- rip off. They wanted to charge 1800 for a 3 hour tour to the main landmarks, many of which are close to each other and can be reached on foot. If you take a taxi to the centre, it costs 100, go figure... Really nice, big room in the hotel. The breakfast & restaurant facilities are exceptional.
A very well organised and beautiful hotel with perfect facilities. You pay for what you get and this in my view was value for money. The downside is the location as it is not in the centre of Cebu city. However you could stay in the hotel and not need to leave it. The food was very good in the restaurants. You will not find better in Philippines.
Beautiful lobby, room, swimming pool & outlets. Good selection of buffet at Cafe Marco. Nice location away from crowded and dirty Cebu City proper.
This is the best hotel that we stayed. They have the best service, facilities and accomodation. We always recomend this hotel to our Friends. Thanks
Good for Value
Great breakfast!!! Nice hotel, we would recommend it to anyone.
If You do not mind to stay in a gated hotel than Marco Polo Plaza could be OK. The water view is noting special. Rather view of poor neighborhood. Food rather expensive and not very tasty.
We were very pleased with this hotel. The rooms were clean and fresh smelling. The facilities were nice. There were a few signs of the buildings age, but these didn't really detract from the overall ambiance of the place. The highlight was the BUFFET BREAKFASTS!! These were possibly the best we've ever had and well worth the stay alone.
An excellent hotel in all respects, and reasonably priced below US levels for comparable quality. I was happy to take my girl friend there (one of my usual hotel tests)and plan to return there again next week.
A lovely hotel set amongst lush gardens. Breakfasts are tasty, staff friendly and bands by the pool and in the bar add a touch of retro cheese. The only 'issue' is the location is a little bit away from the city centre / ocean but this really didn't bother us as taxis from town are only about US$1 and easy to get - just pointing it out. Definately worth a visit
The staff at the hotel are very friendly, well trained and professional. There are also lots of staff. Special mention for the lady at the business centre who helped me find many businesses. The pool is beautiful. So is the lobby area. Rooms are good quality too. Breakfast is very very good. Location, it is a short taxi ride to get anywhere. Taxis however are cheap, its just a little inconvenient. Internet is VERY expensive. 1000 pesos (approx $26 a day). It is a 5 star hotel so as expected ancillaries are expensive, such as airport transport (about 3 times taxi rate), food, drink. The slight "money hungriness" spoilt the atmosphere a bit. Took some negotiation before the rate from this website was charged. Initially tried to charge the walk in rate even though i showed the internet booking voucher and then tried to baffle me with exchange rate variation. This may have been an innocent mistake, not sure. Overall a very nice hotel for a luxury stay.
After traveling around the Philippines, stepping into the lobby of this hotel was a breathe of fresh air. The service was excellent, and the food was great! They offer a free shuttle to the major malls, so this reduces cab expense. I plan on making this a regular stop.
The hotel is very impressive. For a change the websites have been quite accurate in describing the hotel. It is a little far from the city but is very accessible by cabs
Just had 10 days vacation at this hotel and have been most impressed. The service and friendliness of the staff has been absolutly first class. I dont normally write reviews but I have been so impressed with everything overall I felt the need to write this review.
We stayed in a Continental Room which included use of the "Continental Club Lounge" which was worth paying the difference as we found it very useful during our stay (Room 2103)- from 5.30pm to 8.30pm free cocktails / wine / spirits etc plus hot and cold food served pretty much all day long. pool area was nice and the Restaurants had a good standard of international foods on offer. Great view from the room overlooking downtown Cebu. Cebu isn't a great City to visit unless you are flying onto another part of the Country (otherwise give it a miss).
If you stay her dont buy the food there they charge so high just out and you can get the same food even better for 5 times cheaper atleast. But the service is exellent and i have to say this is one of not many hotels ho pay there employers good. So it is good to stay places where they treat employs rigth. Merry chrismas
Gr8 Hotel !! Views to the sea a must !
Very good experiance, good rooms and facilities
Thoroghly enjoyed ataying at this Hotel. Service was second to none and security was amazing. Hotel is a lttle away from the business district, but taxis were always waiting outside and they were reasonably priced. Overall, this is an excellent, professional and classy establishment.
