Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort Cebu Guest Reviews

Nice enough, middle of the road beach resort. Our 'deluxe' room was a little tired, but had everything you wanted. Pools and restaurants were great. Though no wi-fi in the rooms.

Would love to come back again when we go to Philippines to have a vacation with the family. Excellent personal service from the staff and i get to compare a newly 5star beach resorts to Bluewaters and i can say Maribago Bluewater Beach Resorts is much better in terms of customer services and beach location to Imperial Palace water resorts and Spa. I highly recommend Bluewater resorts mostly for couples on a honeymoon and families to have their bondings. Also very good with young groups of people. Lots of foreigners enjoying the resorts themselves and also Filipinos from other parts of the country. Try this for yourself and you will see what i mean... :)

A fantastic beach 'retreat'. Well appointed rooms, nice pool(s) and beach settings. Great GREAT restaurants, and fair pricing. It is a bit remote in terms of location, if one wants to venture out of the resort for other meals etc, but it is very convenient for the airport - 20 minutes away. We had Americans and South Africans in our group, they really liked their stay here, rated it highly also.

This resort is very nice and it provides a real oasis from the hustle of Mactan Island. You are not nagged by vendors and the beach is quite scenic. Many activities to partake in if you want to and the food has great variety and good quality. When I was there they had just completed swimming pool modifications and all was good. The downside is that many groups go there for special events and when the hotel is full it can be busy and a bit noisy near your room. Another issue is that the food can be on the pricey side. The staff are all friendly and take an interest in you. Taxis to the airport and city can be a pain from here. You have to fight "tooth and nail" to get one to use the meter. The hotel staff really help in this and give you plenty of assistance in dealing with taxi drivers. All in all an impressive and classy resort but take your money with you!!!

Maribago is a good resort, especially for families. The facilities are good and location good near the airport. On the other hand the food is distinctively average and taken together with drinks, expensive. Overall it is a good resort.

This is a quite nice hotel. However the private beach was a bit dirty and one of the main pool was under renovation. I think in order to make resort in Cebu more competitive is the quality of their private beach. Dirty beach will definitely turn off the appetite even with the best view.

This resort is fairly typical of 4 to 5 star resorts. The rooms & facilities are very nice if a bit pricey. As is typical of this type of resort, food prices are too high. They do offer free WiFi access & there is a free internet desk top computer in the games room. My only complaint is the fact that the rate of exchange used to change Australian dollars was 18 percent lower than the rate at the airport. Otherwise the resort is pleasant & worth a visit.

My husband and I together with my two kids enjoyed our weekend in the beach at Maribago Blue Water Beach Resort. They accomodated our request for an upgrade for free to ensure that my children will have a safe stay! The employees were very accomodating and catered to our needs. It's sad though that most visitors were foreigners and Filipinos like us would enjoy staying in Maribago Blue Water Beach Resort for money well spent.

We had a very good stay here. The hotel is clean and has very good facilities. The only drawback is the very steep pricing of services (e.g. the spa). The staff are absolutely friendly and helpful.

A lovely resort with a very relaxing atmosphere. None of the thatched buildings have more than two stories and there are also many single story bungalows near the beach. We spent 6 days and nights over Christmas in a deluxe double of the garden wing which is older than the beach wing, but the rooms have more charm and the verandas are nicely overgrown. Both upstairs and downstairs rooms looked equally nice. Because there are several pools, bars and restaurants in the compound, the resort never felt crowded even when fully booked over Christmas. The management and staff are very attentive and guests are regularly asked if there is anything that needs improvement. The compound is very green with lush vegetation every where, but everything was always neat and tidy. The resorts offers also many activities, but most of all a great place to relax and just enjoy life.

A clean and well kept resort. The staff very friendly and helpful. The beach was very small and a bit contrived. Too many hawkers in the area bothering you. The food is low quality and very overpriced. The chefs here can't get Filipino cuisine or international cuisine right, both were off taste. The room price was a bit high. But mactan in general is very overpriced. Bohol was much nicer and a way better value for the money.

Overall, i think the best of this hotel is the service. People are really nice and helpful. They have their own beach, but the charge for water soprts are abit expensive. The restaurants are good. But if you're looking for New and Modern hotel, i'm sorry to tell you that this hotel don't fit. Their rooms look abit old, but itscomfortable. It's for people who's really looking for "resort" kinda hotel. It's a very traditional Resort.

Everything about this resort is wonderful especially newly weds going for their first honeymoon. But other than the poolside event during dinner, well it's all quiet and peacefull. Only thing that needs to get use to is the saltish tap water.
