Getting there:
Leave the airport on the motorway. Follow the road turning slightly to the left, and take the first exit “Ponta Delgada / Porto”. Drive down the avenue with trees on both sides. It will lead you to a rotary with a fountain in the middle. Take the second exit, and follow the sign to “Centro”. Drive along “Rua de Lisboa“ until you find the beer factory “Melo Abreu“ on your left. Turn right and drive past the church of “São José”, on your right, to the main road with a fortress in front of you. Turn left and drive along the Avenue. After approximately one km, you find the marina on your right and the Hotel Marina Atlântico on your left.

Facilities are fine, even though they are lacking Azorean charm. Be sure to bring a bathing cap if you plan to use their indoor swimming pool, or you'll have to buy (an expensive) one on-site.

Excellent location on the watershore in the old part of Ponta Delgada. Bus stop nearby. Excellent breakfast buffet. We stayed a week and never tired of the choice at breakfast. I can warmly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel our second stay- very well organised and clean, breakfast good. The new Marina is being extended so its not as quiet as in previous visits- Still one of teh best places to stay in the town.
