The place was fair. The plus was the price and the distance to important places. I would recomend to stay in Pireaus though, higher quality hotels with safer area.
Nice and small hotel, rooms have recently renovated. The room was small, but with everything needed. I was only at an unfortunate time in the hotel: a building next door was built, and my room on the first floor was facing the construction. No light, no possibility to open the window, constructions started early in the morning. There was also a school class in the hotel, taking breakfast at the same time, so I had to queue up for the breakfast. Breakfast was simple, but everything what I needed. Otherwise a nice economy hotel. Only the area of the hotel was not nice at all, very run down. Nevertheless in walking distance of the major tourist places. Staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English.
I ve stayed there several times and I ll keep going there every time I travel to Athens.Location is perfect, staff very friendly and pricing is the best.Rooms are just like in pictures. Can not think anywhere better than there.
This hotel is quite nice (on the inside) for the price. The hotel has WIFI for a small fee and an internet enabled terminal in the lobby. The rooms are quite small (like most of Europe) but everything was clean and the hotel felt secure. (electronic locks) The location of the hotel is near Omonia Metro station which is convenient but also a very seedy area and walking back to the hotel after dark was not a particularly comfortable experience. I would definitely not recommend this hotel for single travelers.
Nice clean hotel but in a not so nice street. Wouldn't recommend for single female travellers. There were two of us and we didn't feel safe walking to the hotel at night. Location is good otherwise to all attractions and transport. Staff not very helpful when asking qustions or directions.
Nice clean hotel near the Omonia metro station. However the area itself is a bit rundown. The rooms were a decent size and the air conditioner was in good working condition. They have wifi access but we had not taken our laptop along. They have only one PC terminal and thus it can be quite a wait for your turn to use the computer.
Marina Hotel was god value for the money, okay rom and okay breakfast. The area around the hotel was a bit scruffy. It was useful that Marina was short walk from the metro station (Omonio).
The area where the hotel is situated can be a bit scary, eventhough nothing happened during our stay for three days.
Breakfast was poor. Excellent hotel but just in a bad location, as two single females we felt a bit anxious about walking through the neighbourhood to the hotel late at night.
hotel very clean and well run location a bit seedy but a good place to have a short atop over. 100% better than the last time we stayed in Athens!!!
this hotel is a very good value, clean and centrally located. breakfast could and should be a bit better(nice cake shops nearby tho) but overall,my stay was pretty enjoyable.
Very good hotel, at walking distance from main sites to visit in Athens, and near the underground station. The area, especially the small streets around, seem to be the meeting place of crowds of poor people. Don't be afraid. If you are scared, just keep on the main avenues.
A really nice hotel in a not so nice street. Location good for getting the metro and walking to the main squares.
The first night I have slept in really poor dark room with small window. I asked for the better one (I have slept in Athens 3 nights) and the hotel gave me the better one. This was OK.
Better than we thought it would be. Large room very clean. Breakfast....but for the price what can you say. Would stay again.
Location was excellent. In a backstreet - a bit seedy at night for a woman on her own. Close to train station / bus stop. Walking distance to everything. Hot American breakfast consisted of 3 cold processed meats, processed cheese slices, boiled eggs, bread (no toaster) and choice of 2 cereals (not very nice) - so overall the breaky was not to good. We went the first morning then chose to grab something from down the street on other days. The rooms were clean - we booked a double room and ended up with two twins pushed together - so not so good there, Watch the taxi drivers they charged us 25 euro for a 5 min ride. It is only 40 euro from the airport - 45 mins away. So always check they clear the meter. Anyway - we enjoyed our stay at the Marina and will probably stay there again. The staff were lovely and very helpful.
The Breakfast Room staff was extremely pleasant and efficient. Two of the three desk clerks were very helpful. The staff made the visit a very good experience.
The location near the metropolitan is good but the area is quite dirty. Breakfast quality is basic. Rooms are of good standard. All in all it is good value for money.
breakfast was not very good, the Orangejuice was just lemonade, but for the price the hotel was perfect, the location within walking distance for all you need to see and do in Athens
Reasonable accommodation although the noise from the traffic may be distracting in the morning. Fairly near most places of interest, but the area nearby may be considered not that great.
