Marina Resort Nelson Bay is situated in the heart of Nelson Bay overlooking the sparkling waters of Port Stephens.Only 45 minutes drive from Newcastle and 2 1/2 hours from Sydney,the resort is perfectly situated to cater to the needs of all guests. Rated as a 3 1/2 star resort,with a total of 44 rooms covering 5 levels and all have views of the bay, with the upper floors boasting spectacular panoramic views & foxtel. All but our ground floor rooms have private balconies and 19 of our rooms have spas to complete your relaxing holiday.Our ground floor has disabled rooms and an outdoor terrace area.The internal lift goes to all floors including Ketchs restaurant which offers great food and great views (open for breakfast & dinner). Relax and unwind in our outdoor pool and spa which also has a wading pool for the children. The resort is a short stroll to safe swimming beaches, shops and activities including our famous dolphin watch cruises.

Getting there:Port Stephens Marina Resort is accessible by car and coach.Port Stephens Coaches travel daily to Nelson Bay from Sydney leaving Central Station and stopping along the way. Travelling by car is an easy drive on the freeway. The directions are as follows: *Take the F3 Freeway north from Sydney *At the end of the freeway at the roundabout take the Pacific Highway towards Taree. *Go up over the Hexham Bridge,travel 1km and turn right to Nelson Bay on Tomago Road. *Follow to roundabout and turn left onto Nelson Bay Road. Follow this road through to Nelson Bay.
Check-in Procedure:Check in is at 2pm but if guests arrive earlier and their allocated room is ready,they may check in at that time.
Car parking:Car parking is off street with boat parking available also.

Basic motel style accommodation with outstanding views. Clean and has friendly staff.
The package offered included meals but I would not recommend the food which was only OK. Also, even though it was a no smoking room you could smell cigarette smoke.

A rather old and ugly building with all facilities struggling to achieve even an average rating in the 3 areas shown. Nevertheless, the B, B & Dinner deal was excellent value for money.
