The charming Private City Hotel reopened after extensive part renovation in March 2012. The historic building of the 19th century, with its own flair, combined modern style with tradition and familiar atmosphere. The entire hotel is non-smoking. The individually decorated rooms with their traditional interior are set up with lots of love in detail. All 39 non-smoking rooms are different in their uniqueness by the room size, style and their furnishing. WiFi is free of charge and available in the entire hotel. Very pleasant hotel, less than 10 minute walk from the station. We booked a twin room but had a triple which was very spacious. Breakfast was plentiful, a lot more choice than many continental hotels. Would stay again.

Although the room is small, but nice and clean, bathroom been renovated, breakfast is excellent, court side rooms are very quiet all through out the day. Although the building is old, but I reckon it is the way it should be and I love it.

The hotel is not right in the heart of the old town, but it's only a 10-15 minute walk from. It is in a very nice, quiet location near the Mirabel gardens, and within close walk of the train station as well. The room was small, as would be expected, but very nice and clean, and the service from the staff was nothing but good. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Salzburg.
Cosy hotel within walking distance of railway station and everything else in Salzburg. Friendly staff; good breakfast buffet; they are happy to make something up if you leave early in the morning before breakfast.

Hôtel bien situé (près du Château Mirabell), personnel courtois mais qui avait oublié de me prévenir de la façon de récupérer mon auto lors de mon départ le 22 mai, jour férié en Autriche; il n'y avait donc personne au garage où était l'auto et il m'a fallu un certain temps pour comprendre la modalité de paiement quand il n'y a personne à la caisse.
