Marque Hotel Brisbane

This is a difficult hotel to get to because of the one-way system and is a night-mare if you are not familiar with Brisbane. After touring the streets trying to figure how to beat the one-way system in George Street, we arrived at the hotel only to be told they had no room in their car-park! Apparently they were fully booked (unusual according to the staff!) and worked on a first-come basis. We were not the only ones that had this problem as at least 3 others turned up after our arrival and things were getting a little testy! The room was adequate but certainly needs an upgrade. Wouldn't stay at this hotel again simply because the reception staff had no idea where one could park their car outside the hotel.

Comfortable bed and pillows, clean, fresh, quite, a good nights sleep. Good value for a hotel in the center of Brisbane.

Front desk staff seem to have multiple tasks and it is not uncommon to see the desk unattended for short periods of time. Slightly weathered in places and the rooms are a little small compared to some hotels, but you get what you pay for. Overall, perfectly located hotel at a reasonable price with good facilities.

A truly excellent hotel, close to everything and a large cab rank about a block away (close to the Treasury Casino). I have stayed in a lot of hotels throughout the world and thi one is a true 4 star.

Exceptionally friendly cooperation and service. The restaurant also produced very good quality meal combined with unusually generous drinks discount ($15 buffet wines for 2 hours. Help yourself as often as you like!) Room was modern decor and had plenty of room for two. Free wifi. We kept getting pleasant surprises - just one of those great little hotels with genuinely nice people.

Staff were freindly and helpful. The meal prices are good. I paid a bit more had a view room, and it was excellent. Great location for everything.

Very good and friendly staff. Whilst bathroom has been rennovated a lot of little things did not work,light globes,loose tap fittings.All in all OK but rooms need attention to detail if I am going to stay there again

This Hotel was handy to Southbank,Casino,shops,Botanical Gardens. The Room was nice, but was not service over the three days we stayed due to public holidays. Car park is lockup , but very tight fit parking plus you had to pay an extra $20 p.n. One very nice note to add is that the manager of the restaurant was very friendly giving us a free desert for our 8yr son. We would stay here again.

Good location and quick check-in. The room itself was clean and functional and would be worth staying at again at the price paid. Very close to transport, shopping, casino and South Bank. The only drawback was the parking which was off the street and difficult to get in and out of.

Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast which was excellent value at only $15 pp. Nice, clean and reasonable hotel.

Lovely to stay in a clean comfortable Unit with gorgeous views of Brisbane River & the casino. Reasonable meals and delicious coffees compliment the package.

Good location, clean refurbished rooms. Simple and not over the top compared to some other places.

Only there for one night but was functional and suited our needs. My only quibbles are that breakfast was a bit expensive and the bed wasn't very comfortable. Has to be noted though that the minibar was very reasonable. So many hotels charge through the nose for water, soft drinks, confectionary and booze. Certainly not the case here. A lot of credit to the hotel for this IMO. Would consider using again.

The Marque is close to the Queen Street Mall and the Casino, great walking distance with only a couple of blocks walk. The room was clean and newly refurbished. Would recommend it and will definately stay there again ourselves.

Very pleased with this hotel... clean as a whistle, and no traffic noise.

the hotel is old and a little bit run down, but still had a great time good location great service and great food at reasonable prices, would go back for sure.

The room was better than expected. the free 3 hour wireless internet worked very well. Bathroom very clean. Bed was very comfortable. easy location to city and public transport. I would stay again.

Only fault was the bedside light no use for reading and $20 a night for parking

I booked an 'executive room' for last week and we had no access to in-house movies, the lamp was broken and the phone didn't work. I had assumed the room would be a little upmarket being an executive room. The on call manager gave us another room on the second night so we could watch a movie and was very polite and helpful. My daughter is pregnant so we didn't want to go too far hence wanting inhouse movie. Also the phone in the other room didn't work either. But we enjoyed our stay non the less. Just a little maintenance needed on the motels part.
