Marques De Pombal Hotel Lisbon

Excellent hotel right on the main artery (Avenue Liberdad) in Lisbon. No problem with noise as they have very good double windows. Only slight problem was that although the room was a non smoking room, someone had smoked in it. We had a fabulous room with a view over the trees of Av Liberdad right to the water and also with the castle. Breakfast was excellent. Easy to get to with the airport bus, which stops nearby. Staff went out of their way to help.

Excellent hotel, very clean, staff were extremely helpful, the breakfast was really good, overall the experience was great and we would definately recommend this hotel and stay there again.

I rate this hotel very highly. The rooms were furnished to a high standard and were maintained in excellent condition. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Buffet breakfast (included) offered a wide selection including hot eggs and bacon and was enough to set up the day. Evening meal in the restaurant was to high standard. The hotel is 50 metres from a metro station and we could get anywhere in the city in 10 or 15 minutes. At the price we paid, this hotel is just huge value for money, and we would definitely return.

While the hotel lobby area is small for 4 star by Irish standards, the service and staff were superb and very friendly. Food in the restaruant is first class.

Excellent hotel at the top end of the Avenida Liberdade - so take your walking shoes as it is downhill to the Centre and uphill to the Bairro Alto. Rooms were really good as was the breakfast - why do they always put breakfast rooms in the basement? - and Service could not have been better.

Good hotel away from the hustle & bustle of Lisbon but only 5 mins walk from where it all happens. You can really make the most of seeing Lisbon from this base.

Except from the terrible noise from the ventilation system heard in every room during the night, the accomodation was excelent. The location even better.

we'd defnitely stay here again. a good price and a in good location on the main street into the town centre. Restaurant is also of high quality with great service.

Room was very well equipped. Spacious full bathroom with bath, shower, bidet etc. Good soundproofing cut out all traffic noise. Convenient location by Marques de Pombal Metro station. Decent hot buffet breakfast.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet and comfortable bedrooms. Good location for access to downtown via bus or metro, the station for which is outside the front door. Breakfast was good though not up to other 4star standard hotels we have stayed in. Overall excellent value for money. If you take a taxi from the airport to hotel take care you are not overcharged, it should be no more than 10-12 euros.
