I was extremely disappointed with the Marriott given the name and reputation I expected alot more. I went to go for a swim one day out of the entire week I was there and the pool was closed for cleaning and so small - nothing like the picture, the service was ordinary at the restaurant and they did not listen to what I said for my order, they overcharged me for meals, the room needing updating apart from the view it was a very ordinary room. I would even rate the old Novotel as a nicer place to stay. It was a shame I was there for the entire week.

Great bussiness hotel Nice rooms with plenty of powerpoints for all your electronics Room service menu is expensive and woeful
The Marriot at Brisbane is a truly wonderful hotel at which to stay. The staff go out of their way to make you welcome and cannot do enough for you. the room was spacious and the overall appearance of the hotel is lusurious and comfortable
Great hotel, deservedly 5 star, however, parking is a problem and expensive.
Clean well serviced room, but we were given a room with two double beds when we requested a king size bed. We asked to be chnaged, but they had no other rooms. Breakfast was really good and the room deal was well priced.
Concierge Staff Excellent. Thought the Buffet Breakfast was ordinary.
Found the facilities for a "5 Star" hotel to be nothing more than 4 star at best.Disappointing. Had significant IT issues with broadband connection, remained unresolved
If you're looking for a five star experience, the Marriott Brisbane certainly warrants their rating. The staff are first class and the ambience has an air of opulence yet very friendly and casual. That's how a hotel should feel.I would like to see a little light entertainment in the restaurant, soft piano or guitar to improve the mood but overall it's still my favourite hotel in Brissy!
The Marriott Hotel Brisbane is a true five star experience. The beds are very comfortable, the staff are 1st class and everthing is as it should be.Best in Brissy i reckon!
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Marriott on the Executive Level and with a view of the Storey Bridge. The complimentary cocktails and Canapes from 5pm were very nice. The only complaint was that we didn't get our daily paper-however they were free in the Breakfast room. Very nice hotel-I'll stay there again.
From the moment we walked in at 8.30am (whereby the wonderful receptionist found us a room) we had an amazing weekend. The service is truly superb. I must recommend the restaurant. We searched high and low for a great restaurant in Brisbane (a few taxi fares later and sore feet) we found that the best restaurant was in the hotel. Upon finding it we ate dinner, breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea there. The pastry chefs are a cut above. Spa is perfectly hot (one of my important aspects of any hotel). The location is excellent, a short 5 minute walk into the city centre. We will definitely be staying there next time we travel to Brisbane.
Restaurant food and service excellent - waiting staff attentive and competent
The room was not large but it did have a desk and somewhere to sit other than the bed. The views over the river were excellent, TV was a good size flat screen, the ensuite was well appointed. Overall the room was of high quality. The restaurant "Petries" was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. This is not a budget hotel so meals, drinks, room etc are not cheap but the location, facilities and the service justify its rating. The carpark entrance is down behind the hotel and getting in and out of it is a bit tricky, it would be easier to go there to check-in.
We had to "fight" to get to the buffet which constantly ran out of food - too many guests at once. Upon checkout, it took the bell desk 25 minute to bring down our luggage and a further 35minutes to bring our car from the carpark. Once the car was brought to us we had to load our luggage ourselves whilst 2 hotel employees watched without offering to help - another guest actually gave us a hand ! I was travelling on my own with 3 children so a bit of help would have been expected especially from a 5* hotel. Wondering seriously who awarded this hotel their stars.
A lovely room with expansive views over the river and of the Storey Bridge. Room service was impeccable and I highly recommend the chicken caesar salad! First class in every way.
Lovely would definately return. Great service and beautiful room. Lovely facilities
Very nice hotel with charming decor, service was excellent, friendly staff, comfortable bed,met all expectations.Recommend the Riverview Excecutive room, fantastic views of the Brisbane river and Story Bridge.
Enjoyed our stay at Marriott Hotel Brisbane-looking forward to stopping there again sometime
We had a few hiccups with the room bedding and the tv had stopped working, but could not fault the staff and their service.
