Massena Hotel Nice

A romantic package was included in the price, and you should seen the face of my wife when she saw all the rose leafs one the bed, on the table and on the floor - and then a bottle of champagne entered the room. Fantastic!!! Very good standard, nice location and impressing service.

great central location, staff very friendly, breakfast buffet excellent. Room slightly on small size. Have yet to find the perfect hotel in nice but would certainly return to this hotel

A wonderful hotel with great rooms and attentive and knowledgeable staff. We were only there for one night and they upgraded our room. A bit pricy for a long-term stay but, in my opinion, worth it.

I would to point out the exceptionally helpfull staff on reception I have traveled throughout Europe, and the staff at the Massena Hotel in Nice ensured I will return and I shall bring friends with me . I would also say that the location of this hotel is excellent.

The bathroom with separate toilet was very poor, being ridiculously small. Toilet cubicle smaller than any public loo I've ever been in. Not four star. Bedroom itself was good. Dining facilities at breakfast were very cramped at peak time and serving oneself was a scrummage. Staff attitude was helpful and friendly.

Very central. 5-6 minutes walk from the bus station, Gare Routiere. About 50 yards from Gallerie Lafayette. Peaceful at night. Very close to pedestrianised tourist shopping and restaurant area and close also to the Old Town. Staff very friendly and receptionist staff speak good English. Still a lot of tramline works going on in neighbouring Massena Square but it is not noisy and is scheduled to be finished in the next 12-18 months. I would definitely choose to stay in this hotel again.

It's what you get in Nice, I've stayed a couple of times and the rooms with balconies are much better.

Nice place but really a three star hotel. Bathrooms need to be updated.

Room was excellent...we had asked for a high floor as we had read on the internet that the views over the roof ops were good. With a terrace on two sides, we were able to sit out in the balmy night air and enjoy the Nice skyline. The bedroom and the bathroom were a good size with a separate toilet. The breakfast buffet was good with a choice of cold meats and cheese, cereals, selection of fruits, yogurts, selection of breads and cakes, juices, tea and coffee and a small hot selection (scrambled egg/bacon/sausage). The reception staff were excellent and even looked after our luggage for us after we had checked-out. The location was excellent for the Old Town and within easy reach of the beach and promenade. All in all, an excellent hotel at a good price and one we would use again.

Bar open restricted hours. 7.30- 10.30pm. The service was first class, the staff friendly and helpful. Any discrepancies, eg: lack of towels, were dealt with instantly. Breakfast was first class

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, which we appreciated very much. The breakfast was great, as was the bar facility.

This is an excellent boutique hotel in the centre of Nice. We enjoyed the views over the roof tops from our terrace on the 6th floor. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable;the bathroom was well fitted. Service from the desk to the breakfast lounge was excellent: discreet but professional. We would certainly return to this hotel for a winter break when prices and availability are most favourable. Comments on this site assisted our choice.

Overall, we were very satisfied. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. The continental breakfast was great. We would return.

This is a very clean and tidy hotel in a very convenient location. The staff were friendly and informative. Breakfast room is small, but the food is great! Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Wow, what a great staff! They helped us with finding restaurants, setting up tours, gathering bus & train schedules and general information on the area. We were always greeted with a smile. Breakfast was very nice but the dining room got a little tight to move around in. The lobby was very welcoming and a great place to sit and relax. The hotel location was convenient to shopping, restaurants, the bus and an easy walk to the beach. We had a nice size room which was well equiped, but not much of a view. We will definitely stay here again.

A little repair would help the bathroom. Location near the sea and the Old Town is excellent. The street noise is not too loud and it is completely off when the window is closed. Free WiFi in the lobby, so I could make a temporary office in a nice reading room. I am really satisfied.
