Getting there:
The best way is by the daily island-hopper flights from the main island of Viti Levu. Each day, Matava sends a transfer boat down to the airport at Vunisea where the driver greets our new arrivals. Guests are transfered by a 3 minute drive to the other side of the island where the boat awaits for the 45 minute boat ride to the resort. The journey is entirely within the inner shallow water lagoons of the Great Astrolabe barrier reef and the vessel carries suitable safety equipment such as lifejackets, distress flares, rockets and mobile phone. If you arrive on the first flight and the resort has guests arriving on the second flight, you may have to wait for their arrival. Pacific Sun flies twice each day from Nadi and once a day from Suva. These flights drop off guests on Kadavu’s Vunisea airport and pick up departing guests, returning them to their destinations on the main island. Pacific Sun is owned by Air Pacific so guests traveling on Air Pacific can book direct to Kadavu island.
Check-in Procedure:
All guest will be met personally at Vunisea Airport on Kadavu by the transfer captain for the 45 minute boat transfer to the resort.
