Medina Executive Hotel South Yarra Melbourne

We found it ok except cleanliness the top surfaces of the kitchen and bathroom were fine but look a little closer or move a saucepan it was dirty furniture was also very stained

Enjoyable stay. We had a one bedroom apartment at the front so train noise was minimal. A/c worked well. Lovely stroll to Toorak Road South Yarra for breakfast. Would recommend the place, great location for us.

Very well priced, well located ( if you want to be out of the CBD), friendly staff, good quality furnishings, no cost car parking..a real positive. Overall observation, excellent value for money. Very happy to refer others.

A pleasant and convenient place to stay. Really good facilities (although CD player did not work) and very spacious. Only down side was the noise at night kept us awake (very close to the railway tracks)

1br serviced apartment with balcony was excellent value. The in room facilities are good, however the decor is starting to look a little dated. Television needs to be upgraded to a LCD sometime soon! Location is close to one of the busiest railway lines in Melbourne, so if you are a light sleeper the noise may keep you awake. Having said that, the location is one of the best in the city as its 5 minutes walk to chapel street. Other options in the area are significantly more expensive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Medina. The one bedroom apartment has what we need for the two nights. It would be great if internet is included and upgrade to a LCD TV. However it is still good value. We stayed in Unit 2 on ground floor right next to the drive way. We suggest that a thicker curtain be installed to replace the lace curtain as people can see through to the living room. We will definitely stay at the Medina again.

Good location, comfortable for the price, close to good cafes & restaurnats. Would stay there again.

This was the first time that my wife and I had stayed in the South Yarra area, so to find a hotel that was well located, quite, clean with such friendly and welcoming staff will bring us back again. Local eateries (Yellow Bird, Maya our favorites) all within walking distance capped off a very pleasant stay.

Its a really nice place to stay, ive been twice and i will deffinetly come back again. 4 1/2 stars

Corridors outside the rooms could do with some ventilation, as the carpets are getting a tad musky. Location is a 10 minute uphill walk from South Yarra station, so this could be a tough hike with luggage. For an average of AUD$190 per night (160 + 220 for Wed + Thu night), it's not too bad, but you could probably get better value for money elsewhere.

Good hotel and not the worst room for this rate .

Booked in at a minutes notice and extreemly pleased with accommodation. Excellent place to stay. Only a hop step and a jump to Melb CBD and to the fashion centre of Chapel Street,South Yarra. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, good food and well priced. Check in and check out hastle free. Friendly staff and will be my first port of call next time I'm in Melbourne.

Both times we stayed this week the rooms were not serviced,I donnot know if this is not done purposley being that the rate was low but it is not really the way to go and if they intend not to service for this reason then they should state it on booking.

Great unit close to Chapple St and the City.

Great location for a slightly out-of-city location. South Yarra is lively and has great places to eat and wonderful boutiques for shopping. Two cinemas very close by (we loved the Como). Short walk to tram stop or to train station for easy access to the city. Great location to walk along the Yarra river, and then on through the Botanical gardens. Facilities in the apartment are good. We've stayed three times now and have had good service every time. Staff very helpful and friendly with information etc. Only downside is that you can often hear the early morning trains, but for us the location outweighs it. Will definitely stay there again!
