Nice and clean and close to the CBD. The staff are friendly and helpful and happy to answer all your questions. Some noise from garbage collection in the street one morning but normally pretty good at other times.
The hotel was well above our expectations. Great position right in the middle of Sydney. Room was spacious and has everything we needed for our 4 night stay.
Enjoyed our stay. Great location, helpful staff, right in the city. No complaints. Will stay again.
We only stayed overnight while visiting the theatre but the apartment was close to the MLC Centre and the facilities were great. It was a little noisy with several air conditioners on buildings in the lane. Would stay there again because of the cleanliness and location.
The manager contacted me on the morning I was due to arrive to let me know I was being moved to another Medina property near Central Station - I had actually made the original booking to fit in with my plans to a play at the Opera House & a concert in Martin Place so I was inconvenienced by the move & the late notice.
We spent 2 nights in a well equipped and comfortable one bedroom apartment. The king bed was very comfortable, there was a lot of storage space in the wardrobe, and I appreciated the excellent CD/DVD player as I bought some music while I was in Sydney. However, there were some problems: while the central location is great for tourists, facing onto a small alley behind Martin Place means the apartment gets very little natural light during the day; and in #403 at least the shower recess is very strange -- you need to step over a short wall that surrounds it (approx. half a meter high) to access the shower, but my husband had a groin strain that made it quite difficult for him to lift his leg high enough. In addition, the fitness centre is extremely basic and doesn't even have a treadmill. despite all that, we enjoyed the stay.
I have stayed here before and it is consistently good, particularly with such a central location for inner Sydney CBD - only real criticism is the pathetic TV reception - surely it can be done better! Apart from that, it's a well set-up apartment complex.
Stayed here for 2 nights - great sized room, very clean. Reception staff were very good. Only complaint was the outside noise - hotel backs onto a laneway which I thought would be quiet being off the main streets - but it seems to be the loading docks for various companies. Trucks reversing at all hours of the night - those annoying reversing beeps and then the crash of things being loaded/unloaded.
Great location good size room very clean
Stayed September 2010, noisy with building going on next door
rubbish tv reception
Fantastically located and service very helpful. The only down side was that our room was blocked from the sun which messed with our perception of time. Otherwise a lovely time had.
Always a pleasure to stay at Medina Martin Place, facilities ,location and staff are excellent. The apartments are well equipped and spacious.
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and it was surprisingly spacious. It was clean and relatively quiet. It is the centre of town but not close to good eating places.
Very comfortable and suprisingly quiet for inner city address. Bit hard to find but will be easier once neighbouring construction complete.
I prefer to be higher than the first level as the noise in the alley way was quite bad as trucks come and go in the night.
An amazing little place, perfectly situated making it walking distance to pretty much anywhere, or next to buses and train lines for going out the city centre.
Great position central to everything in the city. Facilities -all you need-spotless. Will definately go back!
Everything was very good except the shower. The shower head was less then 5feet 6six high so if you were any taller then this it was very difficult to wash and rinse your hair. It was in a quiet location and the room was very clean and the bed comfortable.
Stayed at this hotel for New Year's Eve. Hotel is in a good location, walking distance to everything. Staff were friendly and room was of a good size. Entrance to hotel was a bit difficult to find at first since it is partially hidden down an alleyway. I would consider staying here again. No "wow" factor for this hotel but it meets the basic requirements and isn't too expensive for the location.
