Medinaceli Hotel Barcelona

Very good experience, in particular the fact that quiet rooms and even very quiet rooms (towards inner hall) are available. Laptop connection only via card to be bought outside; wifi would be more convenient.

We were a little worried about the location of this hotel because of potential noise and pickpockets.We were totally wrong great location and very quiet and we were at the front of the hotel on the road and felt perfectly secure walking even at 1.00 am.Only couple of minutes from metro and Ramblas and great bars and restaurants within walking distance.We will stay there on our next visit to Bracelona.

excellent location close to the beach, shopping mall, convention centre, metro, las ramblas etc. rooms are small but clean. mini bar/fridge. breakfast available. no restaurant, gym, pool, internet. room safe costs 3 euro/day. some people complaining of "pipes" sounds but seems to only be on the top floor. No problems on 1 or 2 floor where I stayed. front desk speaks english. only complaint is a bit high in price for the value.

top class location, a few mins from Ramblas, down the harbour end. The odd dodgy character about late at night so exercise usual caution. breakfast buffet was superb. rooms were newly decorated clean with efficient bathrooms

Small but nice rooms with a french balcony. Not too noisy. Minibar (not stuffed) and minisafe. (Not included) Cleaning and frech towels every day. Great location near La Rambla. Short walks to nice restaurants and nearby attractions. Sightseeingbuses stops nearby. (Use 2-day offer, takes around 3 hours non-stop.) We'll recommend this hotel for first-time travellers. (Taxifare from airport around 30 euros.

The hotel only served breakfast, which was very basic with poor choice. The orange juice was fizzy and the coffee machine was switched off at 10.30am prompt! Fried eggs arrived at 7.30am and stayed on the platter until they were all gone, which usually took some time! The waitress was harrassed but tried to be helpful. The hotel boasted a bar, but in fact there wasn't one. The staff recommended a restaurant to us which turned out to be absolutely awful. Location is excellent and the hotel was clean.

Chosed this hotel based on location and facilities, without prior knowledge. Would like to go back and will definitely recommend it!

Excellent breakfast buffet -9 euros extra. Modern, stylish rooms, and nice bathrooms, but smelly soaps etc. a bit limited. No bar, but plenty close by.
