Very comfortable hotel, great value, with lovely breakfast included in the room rate. We always go there when in Tauranga
Its a nice place, but sadly not up to a rating of 4 1/2 star. the ground are unkeeped and just missing a touch of class. Having said that our room was very nice and clean and the owner was very welcoming.
Ensuite, king size bed, TV, phone, mini-bar, radio/alarm-clock, coffee/tea making.

A special place. Friendly, quiet and surrounded by nature. To be recommended.
Great games room - interior very good - grounds getting away from them though.
The owner was pleasant. "Resort" is stretching the word. Its a tired building on a section that looks like reclaimed farmland. Its ok but its not 5 star. The swimming pool is at the front and I imagine Hugh Hefner's bath would be bigger. We thought we might not find a hotel as it was at the last minute so we booked this online. I wouldn't stay there again. There are plenty of places vacant that we could have booked when we were there.
Friendly and excellent service, beautiful rooms, would go back again and definitely recommend to others
Highly recommanded. Excellent service and great people. Make you feel very at home and the room is very new, clean and warm.
Easy to access. Very quiet location. Spacious rooms. Excellent bed. Comfortable indoor climate. Host Gunther is very hospitable and helpful. Very recommendable.
I did 2 bookings for 2 couples. Place good but needs signs at front so peopel can find it at night as we had a late checkin (9PM)
Nice place but hard to find. Need signs at the front so people can see it at night.
nice run away with my wife ,warm, quite ,friendly,
we were pleasantly surprised on arrival, but the reception area was very cold. was dissapointed that there were no top sheets and found this unacceptable. we had a very pleasant stay, but have to say we found the proprietor very strange, we felt uncomfortable while we were there in so far as,there seemed to be no service and no conversation. a real shame as the hotel was gorgeous.
A beautiful facility
Easy to find – coming from Auckland, turn right just before the bridge to Bethlehem (or from Tauranga, left after the bridge), only a 5 mn drive to the city centre, yet a quiet and peaceful countryside – and what a magic place! You drive up a long driveway, pass the tennis court, along a lovely park, and reach a beautiful Greek mansion. The manager welcomes you warmly and makes you feel at home. There are only 6 rooms but it has the elegance, quality, luxury and all the facilities of a high class hotel (incl, a swimming pool), yet remains affordable. Tranquil and serene – I slept like a log! I staid in many hotels around the world, but this one is unique, quite special, with a lot of character. I will definitely return any time I’m in Tauranga and will recommend it to anyone.
Great value for money. "A taste of Europe" - highly recommended (need rental car as 5 mins outside town).
Outsatnding quality and value for money
Owner most hospitable but a little far out of town.
Nice location. Think should have AC installed or atleast should have arrangement for fan........otherwise all good.
We had alot of trouble actually locating the resort as the address did not come up on the GPS and there was only a small sign outside which is very hard to find. I recommend travelling to the resort during daylight hours. The pool did not have any water in it, however it was raining all weekend we were there and also the golf course is NOT located on the site of the resort. IE: an outside golf course is arranged for you. The breakfast menu is limited and not suited for vegetarians or the like. The rooms are small to medium in size.
The customer service was excellent...but the only reason i book this resort is because of the pool, but unfortunately the pool was empty. So this was the only downside to the stay at the Mediterranean Resort.
